kilts / skirts
I like the first one, actually looks useful.
The second link, Vivienne WestWood, she is nuts (not because of the skirts, but all the other wacky stuff). In fact, we could probably find the look for the next Dr. Who in her collection!

And will give the site here:

And try the UK first, as there are two kilts shown.

Then the US:

Search for:

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

The kilt for working men has made The Times newspaper in the UK today - along with a photo of one. They look great.
Here's the text:
Kilt gives workers a natural breeze
GOTHENBURG The makers of a denim kilt that has proved popular across Europe are hoping to sell it to British construction workers.
The craftsman kilt, designed by Marcus Jahnke, from the School of Industry Design, Gothenburg, has two nail pockets, a loop for carrying a hammer and a knife-holder. It is also available in high-visibility style.
Jeff Adams, from Blaklader Workwear UK, the British arm of the kilt’s Swedish manufacturer, said: “Because they are 100 per cent cotton they are very warm in winter. But they are also cool in the summer and provide a natural breeze.”

It's never too late to have a happy childhood . . .
That's beginning to look good. Such stories in the newspapers, as I see them,
look very normal, and to mee state new fashion, not a story about some stupid thing some men seem to wear.
So people reading it should have no bias about them.
Now let's have more follow-up with more skirts worn by men in the fashion pages.

I've written an article on this too!
Hi guys,
I run a gadget website so I thought to write about this to give it a bit more exposure. Here is the link.
http://www.absolutegadget.com/200801311 ... t-for.html
If any of you know how to Digg a news story please do so - there are links at the bottom so you can tag the story and hopefully alert this to other people on the internet. Also, it will help my website too (we are solely advertising based so page impressions count!!!)
Thanks,
R

But it is amazing that a firm will make "safety SKIRTS for MEN!!!"
So your boss can't say "they arent in safety colours so you can't wear a skirt!!"

New standard safety clothing for council workers.... ha ha.

At least the possiblility of being able to choose is being offered by the manufacturer.

The Hi Vis Kilt (as shown in the photo upthread) made it onto BBC News 24 yesterday. It was about a one minute segment. Bit nudge, nudge, giggle, giggle sort of tone - but it wasn't too bad. Sort of half serious. Anyhow they had a model in the kilt - along with another guy in another type of kilt. They both looked really good. They showed all the pockets and stuff. Then they were asking people in the street what they thought about it - all the women said it was great. One woman said that she liked to see men in kilts as then she could whistle at them, for a change! The men interviewed were a bit more cautious about it all.
I just thought it was good to see the subject presented and discussed on mainstream TV news.
