Hi Skip,
43 degF is still tee shirt weather here,
. Supposed to be going to -12degC in some parts of this country this week. Was watching Ice Road Truckers the other day, and it was -35 to -50 degC,--on the arctic circle. Just nice for a winters walk out,
Greg

It was c.35F here today, with a bit of a north easterly wind-chill 'knocking off' a few more degrees. Even the woman opposite, closed her (normally) ever open window, for 30 minutes!!!!! Very definitely, "Kilt Weather" and no mistake!
With a bit of luck, there'll be some crunchy ground for a day or two, but I doubt very much the white stuff'll appear!

Winter weather
A high of 36F here in Texas yesterday.
We are 'snow birds' migrating south for the winter. We will winter in New Orleans where we should average daily highs of ~70F. But our holiday stop in NE Texas sure wasn't that warm!

Crunchy ground huh?
I've not experienced crunchy ground in at least 55 years, Reading PA. Where I was born was crunchy in the winter.
