first time out in a skirt

Post by skirtguy22 »

I was out of town Saturday and Sunday. I packed my favorite denim skirt for wear in my motel room. I checked in and went up to my room. Around 5:30 PM, I went down to the restaurant for supper. After supper, I went back to my room and got comfortable, in my skirt and a red polo shirt. After about an hour of TV watching, I decided I wanted a couple of drinks. I had seen a liquor store just up the street from the motel, so I decided I'd go get a bottle of Scotch. I started to change, but what the heck, these people won't likely ever see me again. I went for it. I passed a lady in the hall, but she didn't pay any attention to me. In the parking lot, there were people around, but no one seemed to notice I was wearing a skirt. I got to the liquor store and went inside. I picked out some Glenlivit single malt and went to the checkout. As I was swiping my card,m the lady clerk said, I like the skirt. Maybe I've been all wrong about wearing skirts in public. I did get called a faggot by some guy in a passing car as I left the store, but that's happened when I was wearing a kilt too.

Congratulations on the "outing"! And you got some good feedback, too!

Ignore the clown that shouted abuse at you (from a safe distance and whilst armoured -- a real manly act); that's just noise from a buffoon.

I too have found denim easier than a kilt. For every hundred compliments or pleasant conversations which a kilt or skirt leads to, you will always get one insecure tosser shouting some abuse from the security of the inside of a moving car. Obviously envious because he doesn't have the balls to wear a skirt. Don't let it bother you - after all wasn't there in a time in our own youth when we were similarly insecure and trouser clad and would have shouted from the passing car at the guy in the kilt.

Well done!

I have found denim skirts are a non-issue. I really don't think most people even notice that they're skirts and those who do just couldn't care less.

Great to hear another experience, this is what other less secure skirt wearers need to get them over the doorstep and out there.
I bet it felt really nice to hear a personal compliment from the clerk, that makes you feel really acepted, as you are by most.8)

I would say, enjoy the circus, the show is for you, but don't put YOUR head in the lion's mouth.
Life is the circus, and the lions are people that are looking for anybody to "hurt".

Wearing a skirt in public should give no problems (certainly not on your side) and mostly gives none, the only "problems" are those with people which have, no, which want nothing better to do than hassle others. Actually every body is their target, so if you meet up with somebody like that, don't think it's only about your skirt, and put distance between them as soon as you can.

I think you'll be wearing a skirt more often now. :P

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

Screaming from cars

Post by Since1982 »

Insecure people in the darkened interiors of moving vehicles scream all kinds of things at all kinds of people that they wish they could be brave enough to emulate but are wayy too chickenhearted to do anything but scream epithets from a distance.

Please do go out and about in a skirt. The goal is for skirt wearing in men to become so commonplace that general acceptance is guaranteed.

Is there a larger town where you could "practice"?

You know, I've been worried about being called gay while wearing a skirt, then I realized I've had people call me all sorts of things for doing all sorts of things, like the guy that called me a "jackass fag" for kicking him out of my store 15 minutes after close one time.

Long story short, some people are jerks, and they're going to be jerks no matter what you do. Unless you pander to their every will, they're going to find a reason to hate you. Therefore, all they're really good for is making you feel better about yourself by being thankful that you're a better person.
