You should check out Mary Jane Boy's website. Lots of non high-heeled shoes. Moccasins definitely wouldn't have the support needed for your Achilles tendons.

I can't see me wearing high heels. I don't think the heels would take the stress of my weight. :shake:

However, I did see two styles on the Payless site that I might wear.

I guess I will check them out this weekend!

It's not so much support that I need...it's the elevation that puts strain on them.

I just bought these new "skirting" boots. They are marketed as mens/unisex. I have found them to be quite controversial therefore fun to wear!

I rate the "Medieval Boots"! Always fancied a pair like that since the early 70s when a (female) friend of mine wore some just like those! We always used to sit together (as we were both left-handed Cancerians who, at the time, wore nothing but black clothing) on our Business Studies course. It was darned difficult to concentrate, as her skirt started(?) a full two inches above the boots!!!! 'Twas she who first encouraged me to try a skirt (black, of course!), after I complemented her on the boots (with an obvious look of envy). Life might have been considerably different (in the acceptance/encouragement zone) had I not been recently married....!

Broke out the tan Survivor UK and paired it with the knee-high tan-suede boots from Lane Bryant and a T-shirt. I must say the boots are quite warm, and good on the icy sidewalks. Definitely causing a few stares, but a few smiles as well. At a Panera's with wireless I-Book connectivity.

Have you seen a woman being embarassed for wearing a certain type of clothing,shoes or acessories because it is labelled as "men's"?I still haven't so it is better for us to wear what we like no matter what it is labelled or stereotyped.I wear all types of tops,skirts,dresses,acessories and the same goes for shoes.And yet no matter what I wear I will always act as a male being,because this is the way I feel and got nothing to do with gender issues.

Wow! I haven't seen this thread before. I like those knee-highs that Binx links to. But I'm not at all sure if they would deliver to the UK. And I'm also not too sure about U.S. shoe sizes. Are they the same as UK sizes?

I also like a pair of those Goth boots that Talon links to. It's the plain knee-high ones I like.

Both of those boots are really cheap - when compared to what is available in the UK. But then again, not much in the way of boots for men is available in the UK. Or I haven't found anything decent.

I will definately think seriously about buying one of those pairs.

But which ones? Hmmmmm . . . . decisisons . . decisions . . .
