To celebrate the return of the Tumwater, it's on sale. Regular price US$86.58. Sale price: US$77.99. There are two new skirts as well: the Kent and the Georgetown. The Kent is a new addition with a lower price than our Tenino, which has been very popular on its own. The Georgetown is a casual cousin to the Pacific and features a ten jean-button closure; A somewhat military influence to the design, along with two oversized back patch pockets.

I tried your link to the CitySkirt website, but I get a page full of "dancing baloney", and when I try a link, I get error messages.

Do you have a page that uses more traditional HTML that older browsers can handle?

P.S.: In case you hadn't guessed, web sites which require installing a bunch of new packages before you can even look at them are one of my pet peeves. I don't see why I should have to upgrade my hardware and software and install a half-dozen quadrophonic, interactive 3-D video applications just to buy, say, a pair of socks!

Actually, there aren't any bells and whistles other than the splash page's Flash animation. The main page is having database access problems at the moment.

I hope the current CitySkirt's site's just temporary...you're virtually the only source of true men's skirts in the US. People just have no appreciation for all the work you put in to get to this point. You've posted many times how difficult marketing a product like this can be. :ninjajig:

The Loss of Cityskirt will in some way or another adversely impact every skirt wearing man. It's sad that he couldn't get complete acceptance from all "blokes in skirts". Anyone that thinks skirts from thrift shops are better than skirts custom made for the male measurements and body is missing the point. I ran my own business for 12 years before retiring in 2002 with enough put aside to last me my remaining years, (hopefully). It ain't easy getting started in an entrepreneurial business (one that is original and has never been done before). Convincing people that they really DO need you and your product is the hardest part but if you stick with it, one of two things will definitely happen. Either you'll make a success of it or you'll go broke trying. I spent 3 years driving all over the Southeast part of the United States getting my business off the ground and making maybe a million telephone calls to prospective buyers and or sellers. None of this is free on my end. It took me 6 years in the business to actually find myself in the black and it went great for another 6 years until there were so many copycat businesses and the market was so cutthroat that I retired in '02. I can say, (with some pride) that by my 7th year in my business I was known worldwide as "The Man" in that business and had customers in every United States controlled country or protectorate in the world. DanR is going to be missed. I wish him well in whatever he does to try to recoup his losses in the "Male Skirt manufacturing business".
