Pittsburgh Kilts Closed

Post by Overtahill »

Jeff got himself a regular paying job that put bread on the table, and a table under the bread.

He enjoyed producing a great product (I have two), but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

I will miss the great service and an excellent product.

Cheers,

Rick

Shoot, I wanted one of those two-tones...Oh well, glad to have a lined denim. It has been great for the cold weather. Best of luck to Jeff...

Oh no! I was eventually wanting to get an Arizona kilt like Ron's. Those flame kilts looked pretty nifty too. Well, I am glad he produced them while he did and left many photos to enjoy.

Follow in His Footsteps?

Post by W.M. »

Is there any chance of anyone "following in his footsteps"?

It seems as though his product is unique enough and there is enough of a demand for it. Or, to put it another way, is there anyone else who will make kilts like he did?

I thought it was really kind of the Pittsburgh Kilts site to include the message, "If you are the hands-on type, you may want to try sewing your own kilt" and directions to do just that. http://pittsburghkilts.com/diy.shtmlI know I'm not up to that kind of effort but I bet many tailors/seamstresses that do piece work in your area could whip one up.
