For anyone who may be interested -- skirtcraft.com is running a 15%-off promotion on all its skirts until the end of May. My first skirt was one of theirs -- it was originatly a crowd- funding project -- and I have bought others since. The quality and fit are really good and Joe's service is excellent.

Excellent! Thanks for the recommendation. I just had a look at the website - these look similar to what I've been looking for, and it's nice to see businesses marketing skirts for both men and women, since they are so versatile in fit. It also makes it easier for me to "sell" the idea of me wearing a skirt, when the skirt in question was sold as men's clothing.

Now to try and figure out shipping to Canada...

I bought one of their original version in this sale, having seen their stuff online for some time, but never purchased before. It just came in and I'm actually impressed. We'll see how it holds up, but the pockets are good, the fit is s good, the cut allows good movement...
