Fashion 2025
It's another year incorporating old fashion into new fashion and just creating new fashion entirely. There is this new fashion trend for women to wear ties with jeans.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/fas ... 9c7&ei=269
It is about a look that shows women mean business. But none of these looks incorporate the denim skirts. Maybe the woman isn't considered serious if she wears a denim skirt. Can a man be taken seriously if he wore a blazer with tie and jeans as just as a woman would be? How about if the man wore a denim skirt instead of jeans? How many men will take the challenge and wear a blazer, a tie, with jeans to a business meeting? You have these sports competition that regulate men from wearing jeans for not being professional. Jeans isn't considered professional's clothing, but now women are making it professional's clothing.
There is this trend that has been put on the internet for shear clothing as a new fashion for men and women. Its seams this year there are several new fashion trends. You pick the trend you want or create your own.

Re: Fashion 2025
Well, I am not convinced, but I guess the fashion press have to have something to write about.
I still have reservations about blue denim in a professional setting, so I don't see a tie making a big difference in this mix.
In my very humble opinion, where women have taken on suits for the office, especially in the shoulder pad style of power dressing, I find it all quite comical. So if they now want the tie to go with it, who are we to stop them since we wish people to have free choice in how they dress.

Re: Fashion 2025
Denim is never appropriate in a professional setting. Full stop.
What's comical is that it's circular if one looks at it long enough. We're back in the era of the "imitation man" look -- again. Are we never going to tire of running in circles? If the girls want to strangle themselves with ties, let 'em. We, at least, can laugh about it.In my very humble opinion, where women have taken on suits for the office, especially in the shoulder pad style of power dressing, I find it all quite comical. I’ve not worn denim for 13 years. I don’t miss it. Rough material, boring to look at.

I’m not a big fan of denim either. I bought a denim skirt a few months ago on sale but I’ve only had it on once. I much prefer skirts made from other materials that are loose and flowing.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist.

A woman can look good in a skirt suit. But...denim does not work as formal wear for anybody.

Leisure activities and all that. At the Mecca of my chosen life-long sport, competitive rowing, Henley Royal Regatta, held annually in the first week of July on that stretch of the river Thames, all the enclosures, hospitality and boat-accommodation tents are erected for and dismantled afterwards, also the complex river markers, booms and infrastructure.
The largest single enclosure is the Stewards Enclosure, incorporating the grandstands, bars, restaurants &c, but the entrances to this created Nirvana is rigorously policed and gentlemen must wear a jacket or blazer and tie with long trousers, the ladies not being admitted in miniskirts. Denim clothing in all forms is proscribed. Period.
Just one Summer remains the exception: 1976, when daily during that (then) four-day event the temperature soared into the mid-nineties and there came a tannoy announcement that 'gentlemen may remove their jackets, but ties must continue to be worn' ! I remember it well.

That's the main difference between conventional physical labour, where denim and hard-wearing fabrics are appropriate and not for the more cerebral professional fields where one is not under physical stresses (usually). Thus, different attire is entirely appropriate.

Re: Fashion 2025
There is this wide range of fashion one can choose from this year. Temu is selling a mini skirt (skorts) for men sleep wear and as causal wear also. Some of these sales is targeting teenage boys. So keep your eyes peel this summer if you see teenage boys in skorts.

There is those out there that says men can wear anything but is totally against it. I know such person works as a clerk at a local shop. She treats her boyfriend as an immature child. He can't do anything without her permission.
This is the reason I don't believe in the complements they offer.

Why do women have to take on the men's clothing styles, particularly wearing ties?
That makes me more bound and determined to wear dresses.

You sure better not wear a tie when you work on a tractor with the chance of the tie being snagged on rotating items.

Re: Fashion 2025
The adoption of male dress styles by women has been one of my main motivations for stepping over the line in the other direction. In the late 1970s I read an article about how the "unisex" label was cover for female colonisation of men's styles, and the thought of redressing the balance finally pushed me into skirt-wearing.
Re: Fashion 2025
Women and neck ties.
Scrolling down, the article mentions that women were appropriating items from our side of the aisle back during the Middle Ages. Women wore scarves, men wore fancy hats. Women began to wear those fancy hats, and men decided that said hats were now too feminine for men to wear.
