Fishnets worn over sheer tights
I have recently been wearing black fishnet tights over sheer 10 denier tights and I really love the look and feel. However, there is an annoying issue I have with my fishnet tights getting stuck on my sheer tights when taking them off which results in them ripping and laddering my sheer tights. It’s as if the small fibres have bonded together on both tights just like Velcro. I’m wondering if there is any solution to stop this from happening.

Re: Fishnets worn over sheer tights
Try shiny sheer tights. Material over them is less likely to adhere to the sheer tights.

I have had the same problem, although I managed to separate them without damage, but it was close. I had no problem with fishnets on top of latex so Ray is probably correct with his idea of shiny.

I might have a walk over to my local M&S and buy a pair of shiny sheer tights. They sell a 3 pack of Autograph 15 denier ladder resist shine tights for £10 that I might buy and see if they do the trick.

Not sure they will be shiny enough. You really want something like Cecilia de Rafael Eterno Super Lucido or Aristoc Ultra Shine. M&S tights aren’t what they used to be.
If you have to spend less than £10 a pair, try Gipsy (£5). They don’t seem too bad for the money.

Re: Fishnets worn over sheer tights
Layering fo fishnets over other hosiery is an old trick that can deliver truly spectacular results. Fishies over sheers helps to curtail the toe problems that are common, but layering over opaques can be stunning. One of my favourites is purple fishnets over black. Red over black is another winner.
High contrast seems to work best, but then again I've not experimented much with low contrast) like pink over red to see how that'd work. Something, perhaps, to try in the morrow.

Re: Fishnets worn over sheer tights
It looks like I’ll need to buy online then for proper ultra shine tights. My local Boots the chemist on the high street used to sell Aristoc Ultra Shine tights but they don’t sell them anymore.
I did buy those Autograph shine tights but the texture of them makes me think that my fishnets will stick to them too like Velcro when I take them off. So you could be right that they aren’t shiny enough.
I think I need tights that are made from Lycra or ultra shine for my fishnets not to stick.

Yeah, I really love the look of fishnets over plain tights. Black fishnets over 10 to 30 denier black sheer tights are very alluring and sublime. I am going to buy some purple fishnets to go over black tights as purple amd black are my favourite colours. Unfortunately, I’ll need to go online to buy purple fishnets.

It’s worth trying 20-30 denier. Still sheer but likely to be more smooth and less likely to catch the fishnet tights. I’d suggest Cette Brooklyn but the damned things are discontinued

I tried on the Autograph 15 denier shine tights I bought the other day from M&S layered with my black fishnets on top and did some cleaning in my house and cooking and sitting playing guitar. By night before bed I took them off and was pleased that my fishnets came off without sticking to my Autograph M&S Shine tights. However, I haven’t worn them out in town shopping or for long walks yet.

Yeah they aren’t shiny enough. I tried on the M&S shiny tights layered with my fishnets the other day and my fishnets came off without sticking to my tights. Today I wore the M&S shiny tights layered with my fishnets with my ripped leggings worn over the top and when I took them off I came over the problem again of my fishnets sticking to my tights like Velcro. I went for a long walk today wearing them. The sticking problem seems to happen round my bum and back of thighs.
I think I’ll just try and see if I can buy the tights you recommended online.

Yeah, I’ve had this happen too, and it’s so frustrating! What’s worked for me is dusting a little baby powder on the sheer tights before putting the fishnets on—it helps reduce that sticky Velcro effect. Also, I try to take them off really slowly, kind of rolling them down instead of pulling, which seems to help. If my hands are even a little rough, they make it worse, so sometimes I use cotton gloves or just make sure my hands are really smooth. Definitely not a perfect fix, but it’s saved a few pairs for me!

I managed to buy body sensor 60 denier opaque tights from M&S in a pack of 3. The first pack are coloured tights in deep claret (dark red), green and blue and the second pack I got are grey mix in grey, light grey and black. Those tights are perfect for wearing under black fishnets and I don’t get the sticky Velcro issue when taking my fishnet tights off.
The dark claret coloured tights look awesome under black fishnet tights amd the grey tights look good too. Another positive is that the tights fit me good and I have had no issues with the gusset yet.
