Yesterday, the high temp was 66°F here in North Central Texas, USA.
Today, the high was reached at 6AM, at 45°F with tomorrow morning
hitting 21°F. Nothing like losing 45° of temperature in 24 hours :| :shaking:

This little gray duck is staying home, inside, where it's warm ;)

G'day all...East coast of the island State of Australia (Tasmania) Really warm overnight and day began really warm ..Probably 21 or 22 Celcius (70 F) at 8 am ... Then by midday 6th January a summer thunderstorm hit us ,,Just before 2 pm now and it's still raining and dropped to 18 Celcius .. I'm on extended leave from work , Forecast for approaching mid summer over next week is pretty normal mid twenties to low thirties , not much chance of rain , higher bushfire risk etc... Lots of tourists , campers etc in our valley and lots more down on the coast . My town is 300 metres or just under 1000 feet above sea level and about 10 km (6 miles) inland .. Especially love this summer because I have Annual Leave of a month plus three months of Long Service Leave on full pay ...Tons of chances to really enjoy my kilts ..and my dogs , fishing , golf , home renovation jobs , a little bit of travel ...and other stuff... cheers all..

I've been listening to weather information about the Northern hemisphere winter. I guess if the people like snow then cold winter weather is required. It also makes you appreciate a warm change.

Days here currently are typical inland summer overnight low 20C to very high 30s fortunately with low humidity. I like it better than winters below 0C.

Ye Old E weather Guessers are the National Weather Service has pronounced it shall be Cold and Snowy here in North Sunny Texas. Unfortunately that means I will need to put something on to keep warm.

But never fear once the normal warm Texas weather returns. so will my skirts. 8)

In my area, the snow went south of me. Temperatures warmed up to 34°F today.
Houston, TX., had 2 inches of snow in 1 day. That is a record for Houston, TX.
The snow reached east, along the gulf coast, to Jacksonville, FL.
New Orleans was hit really hard :!:
National Weather Service wrote:In south-southeast New Orleans, a total of 10 inches had fallen by 6:21 p.m. Tuesday.
The double-digit figure ties with a record set on Feb. 15, 1895, when 10 inches
accumulated in Audubon Park due to a low-pressure system and rare frigid temperatures
that created a winter storm.
In Florida,
Widespread reports of 5" to 8" of snowfall were reported around Pensacola on Tuesday
evening, which caused troopers to shut down a nearly 70-mile stretch of Interstate 10.
Black Ice is a major problem no matter where you live.
The Gulf Coast area is not equipped to handle this type of weather and severe cold temperatures.

I grew up in a snowy area and it seems that the snow has finally followed me south :|

At 74, IMHO, it's nice to look at but I don't want any part of it :!:

Meanwhile in Australia, we're sweating, one day last week was 37°C, this week days of 36°C, 33°C followed by tomorrow's forecast 37°C, with overnight lows around 25°C. Pretty normal Aussie summer, with a few thunderstorms in the mix.

Something would be seriously wrong if snow were to fall in QLD. That would be significant climate change...

Were going to get 20-30cm of snow here today. Then temps should drop again into the deep negatives

I think the biggest difference between our weather, Anthony is the humidity. Give me 40°C plus with humidity sub 10% any day over 31°C and 70% humidity. Hottest I can remember experiencing was about 47°C up near Mt Isa, QLD, humidity between 5 and 10%, like opening blow oven but you don't feel sticky and gross all day.

Right now at 10:30pm its 26°C and 80% plus humidity. Ceiling fan will be on tonight.. I'm sitting outside without a shirt, at least I'm not sweating.
Cooler than last night.

It’s been warmer than usual here, but not unbearable. There’s a bit of a breeze, which makes it more comfortable, especially in the evenings. Feels like the seasons are shifting a bit later each year.

Next three days 39 degrees during the day and low 20s over night, like it used to be when growing up in the 60s.
