I engage with other's in my community on one to one.
I make work shirts for those who works at Dollar Tree. I give men shirts with Dollar Tree in vinyl on back of it, but these shirts was being sold as women shirts. I used this method in promoting tom men they can wear any garment no matter how it is label.
I gave a mother T-shirts for her sons from Walmart that was on sale, making it possible in buying several shirts for the boys. I bought these shirts from women side at halve price compare what is sold in men's section. By this I show a mother how she be able to clothe her boys for a fraction what it cost from men's side. It is hard to make a living on minimum wage and her pay was minimum wage. Got new shirts at second hand store price. Now mother has to teach her sons labels on clothes has no meaning. I try to get people to change their attitude what men can wear. Getting mothers in buying clothes from women's side of store for their sons. I have communicated with mothers agreeing with me it isn't wrong for men in wear dresses and skirts, but doesn't shop from women side of store for her sons, for simple things as T-shirts even when they are less expensive.

That has to be one of the saddest stories I have read in the cafe.
Apart from proving how deeply engrained gender stereotyping is, it also shows that things are not getting easier for everyone.
I really did not begin this for good news only, so thanks for sharing.
As for change, we can only do what we can!
