Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
@Chip - everybodyskirts is such a well put together site. You have clearly put a lot of effort into building these pages. There are a lot of pages and links to work through - I'll update this thread when I have a little more time to absorb the content.
It looks like several SkirtCafe members have commented on the articles and posts on your website.
Confidence or the Nike "Just do it" is so important to pulling off a skirting look. Even though I wear a skirt everyday, there are still times that new things or people crop up and "Danger klaxons" going off in my brain have to be silenced with buckets of confidence and the command to "just do it"!
Your guide is a good place to start to build some confidence which we all need. Thank you.
My usual "go to" is to "own the situation you're in", which is to say that you're 100% aware of it, including all risks, and have mitigation procedures in mind if anything crops up. "Always have a 'Plan B'", is a good mantra.
Other than that, it's pretty easy. Be yourself: i.e. don't put on airs and don't try being something or somebody you're not.

Thanks for the message, @FranTastic444! It's been a lot of work, though it would feel like a lot MORE work if I wasn't really passionate about the topics.
I've definitely seen some familiar names from SkirtCafe in my comments which is always appreciated - and maybe in part because I've linked a few posts in these forums

Thank you! Your note is a good reminder that everyone has issues around expression or confidence from time to time. And yeah, sometimes a simple thought like 'just do it' can push us over the edge into action.

I think it's good to be discerning when there could be legitimate safety concerns (including psychological safety) β as long as we're not constantly expecting the worst... this can have a negative effect on confidence. Depends on where you are I suppose.
Being yourself is key. Though finding yourself is a prerequisite and so many people don't get far in that realm.
Your Confidence Playbook looks amazing! I love how it mixes inner growth with real actions. The parts on mindset and self compassion are so helpful, especially for new skirtonians. One tip I'd share is starting with small wins and having a favorite skirt or item that boosts confidence instantly. Can't wait to check it out!

I checked out your site. Even left you a comment.
It looks like a good site that may well encourage more men to try the skirted life.
I did subscribe to your news letter. I encourage others on MIS to check Chips site out.
