Hoping to up my accessories game—where do you guys shop for jewelry with a good value/quality ratio? Particularly keen on anklets & bracelets matched to a necklace.

For anklets and bracelets I usually start with ETSY and E-Bay.

Charity shops, flea markets and any place you find what appeals.
Only thing is, why restrict yourself to matching, be creative and have fun.
Thanks to good influence, I am also adding scarves to my own repertoire.

I collect a lot scarves and love them. I’ve been wearing a black silk paisley designed scarf as a headscarf when I’m out wearing my kilt. I wear scarves that were bought in the women's clothes department.
I am not really into wearing jewellery though I have a silver neck chain that my grandparents gave me but I never wear it.

My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist.

Re: Accessorizing
I wound up accessorizing my blue kilted skirt with a red corset in addition to my usual beret.
Re: Accessorizing
My accessories are things in my ears, normally hanging from my 10mm holes. I also have something hanging in my septum, normally a winged piece of jewellery. I also have a Leatherman Tread bracelet with a range of useful tools which is always on my right wrist.
Not sure if hats are accessories, but I always have my black bush hat which has become one of my trademarks to my style.

Re: Accessorizing
Having spent 60 professional years doing dentistry at VERY close quarters on many or several people per day, in the latter years I noticed the marked proliferation of body piercings of various types in the mouth and round the face, also tatoos of ever increasing complexity and area-coverage.
When asked what time it took to tattoo a whole leg, one patient said '17 hours' !! This must have been done over several sessions, I assume.
As practically all dental procedures are carried out under local anaesthesia I am aware that the purveyors of piercings and tattoos are not qualified to administer anaesthesia and their 'patients' must suffer while undergoing their mutilations. There is no other word for it.
To have such people announce that they were afraid of dental procedures stretched credibility somewhat. Not difficult to deduce whose camp I'm in.

Re: Accessorizing
Well, accessories for me are jewelry, especially earrings (I don't feel fully dressed on an outing without them), necklaces, bracelets and, most of all, handbags as I despise putting stuff in pockets, something most skirts and dresses don't have anyway.
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.

Re: Accessorizing
I too have gotten out of the habit of using pockets. I have a black cross-body purse I wear where I can stuff all my goodies. One reason I have gone over to a purse is a lot of my dresses don't have pockets.
One time I left my cell phone in my trousers, and washed the phone along with the trousers. Now, washed cell phones don't work so well. And I can stuff a much larger wallet, along with pens, a tuning fork, lipstick, and a small torch (flashlight). I also don't have things clattering to the floor if I pick up trousers or a skirt.

Re: Accessorizing
I had a lady at square dancing suggest pearls with my outfit tonight. Not sure that's a smart idea.

Pearls also work for Justin Timberlake when he had his press conference regarding his DUI.shadowfax wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 6:30 amA pearl-like necklace seems to work for JeffB1959?timemeddler wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 4:50 am I had a lady at square dancing suggest pearls with my outfit tonight. Re: Accessorizing
Belts at the waist are usually the staple, but don't overlook the possibility of a sash!
