Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I went to Mr Porter after seeing it in the CNN article.
Two skirts came up in a search. I like this one a lot from RAF Simmons, but I’m not paying $720 bucks! Luckily my size is sold out. The gap or old navy needs to make a skirt like this for men.
Standard black skirt available at a fraction of the price from just about anywhere.
Just let the "man" bit slide and you'll be there.
Old story, no bucks in it for the main retailers so just mosey across the aisle.
Steve.
I like that it's more or less sold out - unlikely women are buying them. Ridiculously expensive for the plain nature of the article, but it's a designer label, so you know, typical.
I'm a bit disappointed they categorized it under "Shorts" - they should have created a "Skirts" category.
The "sizing" is ridiculously small and the 'pricing' is ridiculously large

I sent them the Mr Porter link and they will make the skirt just like it. I selected what material and the front and back pocket style. They will take the rest from the mr Porter photos of the skirt.
I emailed them in advance with what I wanted to do and they gave me a code to put with the order for them to make skirts instead of the pants I ordered. They were $58 each.
