Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I also watched it and left a comment saying that it was easy to get the confidence and gave mention of the cafe as well. Maybe get some new members as a result.
"It is better to be hated for what you are than be loved for what you are not" Andre Gide: 1869 - 1951 Always be yourself because the people that matter don’t mind and the ones that mind don’t matter.
Nice video n2s! I enjoyed it. I also got a few chuckles at a few of his lines.
He has a good attitude. I do wonder where he's from. Judging from the retail establishments, I'm going to assume somewhere in the U.S. and the general tolerant vibe he received for wearing some otherwise pretty feminine stuff suggest to me a part of the country that might be more... uh... cosmopolitan? Probably near a large metro area, but clearly in the suburbs.
He wears his dresses well. I love the styles, but I also note he has a pretty flat belly, and that's the primary reason I hate the way many dresses look on me. Dresses tend to have a high waist, and as a result, when I wear one, it causes me to look pregnant. He also has pretty full legs and good hips for dresses.
By the way, I share his anxiety about vlogging in public. I've tried this a few times, and despite the fact I can openly wear skirts everywhere and not worry what people thing, I still have a hangup about walking around recording myself. I don't even like to do it on my own property, I just feel silly doing it, and somewhat vain.
Yes, nicely done video and he makes good choices in skirts and dresses that suit him.
It would encourage those who already want to wear skirts and dresses but lack confidence.
The really brave part is publishing a youtube video of oneself.
My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.
He is clearly American just going by the accent.
One thing he demonstrates, very clearly is that you can do it if you choose to.
The styles, lengths or whatever are irrelevant, they are just taste.
I would not be seen dead in a lot of that clothes but I still wear a skirt or dress every day of the week.
Can you do it too?
Steve.
I can't wear shorter-than-knee skirts because even when I'm just wearing them at home I feel so exposed! Plus I just prefer the feel of the skirt brushing against my legs all the way down.
But never mind that, this is the important bit: Either this chap is using cardboard props to simulate weights or he is going to ruin his back before he's 30. Lift with the knees, mate!
