Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
That is very sad. I met Hamish in 2000 or so, and had the pleasure of staying with him on more than one occasion. I last saw him about four years ago - and throughout that time, I worked receive a Christmas card every year with a handwritten message.
The stories he would tell! Just a remarkable life.
In another (kilt) forum always joking about who had the most kilts -
and always coming up a half dozen short -
Hamish's were the authentic ones not like my wrap skirt imitations !
If kilts are not in fashionable vogue beyond the pearly gates they
sure will be now !
The kilted ambassador has arrived !
Horn blowing fan-fare ta-da - - - - -
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
