In 3 Hours I saw one rat in my Kitchen ....
In 7 Hours with 4 traps I caught one rat ....
I sill have 3 Traps baited.. Deadly weapon ....Spring trap baited with grain......

Perhaps there is still hope for me on the fishing.....I am afraid there is no photograph of my

There was plenty of wind ,The Sea was white and there was a spring in the air
..Beautiful Surf on Marconi's favourite beach

There was an explosion of excitement when saw I had captured my quarry.

There was an explosion of relief when I saw the farmers system of trapping
my quarry with a modern plastic trap with poison grain for bait was effective
after setting the trap for seven hours ...

My celebration of wearing the Tartan , Eating a pasty out on the cliffs and spending
a morning walking the cliffs and the beaches dressed in my traditional style
for this kind of activity....was for me, a great sense of satisfaction in these troubled times.

With a knee injury and other activities I have not been cliff walking and
beach combing for several years...Roderick

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day with less wind and surf...
I was on beaches with only a couple of folks in the distance .

We all applied social distancing as the threat of infection is close to us
with 3 reported cases in the local area.

One lady I met ,was wearing shorts , and out with her husband....
The only fashion style comment she made was ..
" I recognise you ..You support our Air Ambulance Charity Shop
I have my personal reasons for supporting Air Ambulance.....
These memories go back to 1963...The year of the bad winter
with snow on the football field till March....

On two sandy beaches I collected flat rings of slate and beautiful stones.

I went home , Then round the corner to see one of my friends .He was not in his garden
so I went on one of my traditional six o'clock summer circular walks .
This includes passing the LLoyds Signal Station , The Marconi Transmitting Station
To the Isle Of Wight. First Radio Signal about a hundred and twenty years ago.
Then on to a fine cliff hotel and the spot where one can look down on a Tidal beach
which can only be reached by boat...This was followed by passing the Lizard Lighthouse
and going down to our beach which has the Old Lifeboat Station which was opened
in 1914.....I am in a Commercial Boat Club which leases the buildings off
a private trust. More environmental problems down there.
All the Chinese , Indian and American Tourists visit the beach to see the seals.
Yesterdays picture was slightly different

There had been a cliff fall which blocked the access to my store.
The sea had brought two feet of sea weed across our slipway.
So home across a field of sheep with their winter Lambs

The Mothers were chilling out sitting on the grass and the young lambs were
playing as young lambs do..

The sheep were not running away from me.....I found a pierced Blackbird Egg
and some wool.
Up the steps, over the Cornish Hedge and I was facing the deserted village school

Furture along the road I saw one of my friends arrive home in his car...
He is ten years older than I am...Living on his own and spending his time at the
next proper fishing cove .
I went down to the village for the Christmas Day swim and was introduced to
The Business Man who wrecently purchased all the fishing buildings belonging
to the old Pilchard Company .....
If you get bored ..check The old Cornish Pilchard Companies....

" long live the Pope ... may the streets run with blood "

I am refering to the long gone pilchard beach seining where it took the whole village
two days to clear the nets....every village had its Fishing Company.
An interesting bit of research for those with time on their hands....

Then home for lunch in the garden...change into my overalls and wellie boots
for half a days work with the Quad Bike ..
Up and down to our working beach three times
My buddy and I both have pacemakers....
I call my Quad Bike a Boy Racer Mobility Scooter.....Roderick.

My neighbor has two infant Girls ..I gave him the wool ,..The slate and some sea shells.
The kids love making pictures on slate and painting shells...
I started at 0600 Hrs yesterday and finished at dusk.
It was hard work lying in bed with a mug of hot chocolate and hearing an explosive noise
as the spring loaded trap capture my pray....

I now have to try to set up a new fishing operation to beat the Lockdown.

I wonder whether you have formulated any plans for culling your’ s children. From your posts on this thread and elsewhere on the forum you seem intent on wiping out any wildlife that comes anywhere near you
