Keeping the manhood from poking out
Keeping the manhood from poking out
Hello all,
This is my first time posting, i have a technical question. How do you keep your manhood from creating a bulge in the skirt, especially thin ones?

Well, one would think that given all the options between styles, fabrics, and underpinnings that something would come to mind. But...
Thin summer-weight skirts are always a bit of a challenge, and virtually require somewhat lengthy garments underneath to provide for some level of modesty in case one gets strongly backlit. These same things can go a ways to taming the "battle of the bulge" as well. In short, do your research and find things that (a) meet the need and (b) are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. If you have women friends handy, ask them for advice -- especially if they already know you wear skirts. They can be surprisingly, embarrassingly even, open about the matter. The advice won't be directly applicable to the "manhood" bit, but will be helpful in other regards.

That's the other way of dealing with it!

A t-shirt with a huge arrow pointing down should solve it.

Re: Keeping the manhood from poking out
You are a man !
You are wearing a skirt !
The two are not compatible YET !
Skirts were designed with a flat front to fit a flat front.
The male appliance is not flat in any mode - UNLESS
wearing a compression type undergarment and even at
that this may not be enough the resistance is futile.
Near best thing is camouflage - thin sheer material
does not camouflage in any respect but doubled up
it might past muster. A dark pleated plaid may have
enough to divert the eye away from the targeted area !
Denim may be the clue to helping with the deception !
As with a kilt and sporran consider a cross body bag
of sorts to rest in the area of the protuberance.
This or that but live with it until compatible !
Skirts are not marketed for cross aisle wearing YET !

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

The ancient Egyptians wore a vertical hanging piece of material in front, no doubt specifically for that purpose. The Scots developed the sporran , which in festival dress mode is very elaborate indeed and nothing shows, even if they are 'commando' underneath!

1. Wear suitable underwear (specific panty types aren't actively discussed here so as not to fetishize a skirt accessory, so find what works for you). Tights and slips help with pencil skirts (formal ladies officewear). Peplum pencil skirts are nice as people will focus on the ruffle rather than tummy, or any other lines in a tight skirt
2. Looser styles like circle skirts, skaters or A-Line.
3. Wear a kilt! Sporrans cover the bulge, and kilts are widely accepted

Re: Keeping the manhood from poking out
Some of the things I use, depending on my mood include:
As for slips, they should be worn under unlined skirts or dresses so the garment drapes properly. An exception can be made for such items made of especially heavy fabric.
I hope this is sufficiently discreet to pass moderation.
I also hope that the length of my list reinforces what I've said in several other threads, you shouldn't let your "manly bulges" break the lines of your skirts and dresses.
If those bulges impress the women you meet, it probably won't be in a good way! I have that on expert advice!
- A molded thong I found on line that tucks the male anatomy and simulates the female anatomy. (It's much more comfortable than it sounds.)
Control top hose.
Shapewear of almost any sort, just so long as it has a gusset.
Especially, when paired with tucking and thong style panties.

You could try a skort. I personally don't like skorts and remove the inner shorts. It is easier to go to the bathroom. I suggest wearing slip shorts. They are inexpensive and for hiking they prevent "chub rub" that makes a burning rash between your thighs.

Re: Keeping the manhood from poking out
No one has mentioned a hoop, which would be a lot more comfortable than many of the constraining garments mentioned. Also a good sized hoop could aid social distancing.
The other strategy for cooler weather would to not wear anything underneath and rely on the physiology of things trying to retreat into the body cavity to maintain temperature.
It does seem strange to be willing to flout social norms by being a man wearing a skirt but not willing to wear a skirt as a man. I personally think that it is making a mountain out of something alot less than a mole hill.

A hoop? Is this a reference to a hoop skirt?
