Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

Before I Wore Skirts the Cat ..... never enjoyed my lap that much. When I sit down in a skirt, the cat jumps on my lap right away. With shorts the cat does not like that much skin sticking out from under the short shorts. With pants it means it is cooler so reluctantly the cat crawls on my lap and takes a few minutes to find the right spot. If I don't start stroking within 10 seconds, the cat is gone and is looking for another warm spot.

Before I wore skirts I never worried if I wore the same thing twice in a week. Much less a month! I sometimes put something on and ask myself if I have worn this combo before. And if so, how long ago was it. Before I could wear the same suit 3 days in a week and really nobody cared.
I was told I have balls for wearing skirts! My reply? "That's because balls this big won't fit in pants!"
…..realized how a skirt makes climbing a ladder much easier.
…..experienced the comfort of bending in the garden without binding.
…..enjoyed the extra freedom of movement when jogging.
….. drove a far distance without pulling my boxers out of my @$$.
...forgot that trousers will only fit if they are put on the right way round. I have become so used to being able to step into a skirt any way round and then turn it, that I forgot I couldn't do that with trousers and finished up with them back-to-front.
There is no such thing as a normal person, only someone you don't know very well yet.

I never enjoyed hiking and walking with this much freedom and comfort. I love to stop and feel the breeze. AND never went for a drive and felt the luxury of air conditioning in the right places.
