Pajamas: not just for bedtime anymore

To me, it is just sheer slovenliness- can't be assed. All the clothes at their disposal, and they want to walk around looking like a garbage tip. Even us blokes wearing skirts look 100% better.
Thank goodness there are some women who want to look chic and feminine- albeit a slowly dying trend.

I do feel that this same argument was used when sportswear started to become more fashionable to wear on the street and not just the gym - lots of people hated the sight of jogging bottoms and leggings in public until it became broadly accepted. While I wouldn't wear pyjamas to visit the supermarket, I do think that that style of dress will become more mainstream in the future sadly.

If only we could encourage them into skirts and dresses instead of PJs. Much more stylish IMHO!!

To me pajamas is sleepwear. I call my nightgown "pajamas". Maybe I should try to expand the pajama trend a little?

Maybe wearing pyjamas to go shopping is only phase one. Phase two could see them migrating to slippers, a bath towel wrap around and a shower cap.

One of our larger supermarket chains was reportedly allowing their store managers to remove customers wearing pajamas, onesies and the like. Reported as a dress code for shopping.

I just cannot understand the idea of rolling into the supermarket mid afternoon in night attire. Often with no attempt to look clean. Early morning perhaps it might be reasonable but even then it just looks wrong. The message I get is that I live on benefits and I don't care who knows.

mind you it is a good job I don't wear my night attire to shop as I would be au natural. To much of a shock for anybody!

A few years ago I was waiting to cross the street. I was wearing a white skirt with a scalloped hem and tiny blue polka-dots... probably the most feminine skirt I've ever owned. Waiting next to me was a grown man wearing pajama bottoms with the faces of Sesame Street characters printed on them. All I could think was, "and according to greater society, I'm the weird one in this situation..."

Anything new or would like to included in womens fashion these days is automatically deemed as acceptable by society especially, if more than one does it or if challenged.

So I will not be surprised in due course to see, au natural even bathtowel out and about! There must be two brave souls out of 9 billion approx out there!

To me it is simply slovenly and that applies to both men and women.

With the standards of many stereotypical male and female dress preferences these days, not including items such as onesies and pyjamas, when you say "we'll" I take it men in skirts only!
