Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
This was on the bottom of the last post. What is this about
If you look in the main text of Carl's post, he uses the acronym STFU and follows it with [0]. At the foot he then defines STFU to ensure we all know what the acronym means.
Sorry, but I'm not sure you actually read the full posts before "putting pen to paper" with your queries and responses. This might be a result of the equipment with which you browse and contribute to the Cafe, or it might just be that there is "emotional sloppiness"; I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt here and run with the former hypothesis
. I pray for the souls of the single-issue pseudo-religious voters who ignore the most egregious sins of a candidate who has only to proclaim himself anti-abortion to take the votes of those folks. And that's what I sense in this case.[/quote]
I find it amazing that anyone could condemn the Trump supporters for ignoring something that He has done. As they float along in their blissful ignorance and nonrealization of Hillary's transgressions.
I have had enough politics I think i'll go try on another outfit take a picture and post it on Pics and Looks and get back to what we are on this site for.
I don't think anyone is voting FOR anyone, but we are all only picking the lesser of two undesirables. But identifying that candidate is so astonishingly clear that I can only wonder at the rationale (and rationality) of anyone choosing Trump, a person who is clearly mentally ill. No, I'm not a psychiatrist, but I don't need a weatherman to tell me when it's raining. Some things are just flagrantly obvious to a less jaundiced eye.

Not that the eventual protagonist has any power to wield, but on this Sainted Isle we had a Presidential election a few years ago and there were seven candidates who took part in a pre-election TV debate.
One candidate was so short that they had to stand him on a box to get his head more-or-less level with the others for the TV show. He won the election by a Country Mile and our President Michael D Higgins is not much over 5 feet tall. But he has real stature.
well if you are not a psychiatrist you are basing your evaluation of Mr. trump on what you have heard or read. In that case that would make Hillary a senile alcoholic pedophile. because that is what I have heard and read

Both of those cracks were mine, and I stand by them.
The first was an obfuscation of an entirely crass term and the second was an allusion to assassination, which, whether we like it or not, remains a very useful political tool. I do not favour the use of the latter tool, but understand that as a last resort it is sometimes necessary to remove "troublesome" leaders.

That's fine, and no hard feelings. Of note is that when I'm writing, I tend to use footnotes for some things, and, being a computer type start counting from zero, hence the [0].

Since you believe in Trump, whatever kind of Kool-aid you like to swallow comes as no surprise to me. But you know how to use Google, I presume, unless that is too advanced for you. I suggest you Google "pathological narcissist". If you can do that and tell me the characteristics DON'T fit Donald Trump perfectly, then you are a more willing dupe than even I would have suspected. He is beyond the pale of merely "disturbed"...I would call him clearly delusional. Are you as well?

[Mod hat on]
Alright, this is now getting a wee bit too close to the edge. If we can stick to facts then I'm OK on this, but when we start commenting on Kool-Aid (Thanks, Jim, for that meme) we're teetering.
Cogent debate -- even hard-hitting debate -- is fine, but personal accusations are most assuredly not. See my earlier commentary on respect and civility.

For whatever reason I hadn't heard too much about the Indians' travails (They seem to be at least as severe as the Cubs.) and I tend to root for the underdog, so I am looking for the Cubs to pull it out.
Of course, their path to victory is almost as narrow as Donald Trump's.
I have to say for my tastes, say what you want about the candidates (preferably backed up by those annoying things called facts) but each other is off-limits.
As to the question about which candidate is less worthy, consider this: To decide that Hillary Clinton does not have the character to be President you have to ignore all of the good works she has and only listen to her critics. To decide the same of Donald Trump you can either look to the nearly total lack of public-spirited work or just listen to what he has said. There can be no mistake about the authenticity of the Access Hollywood tape and what Trump said and the mindset behind it are simply despicable.

Social norms aren't changed by Congress or Parliament; they're changed by a sufficient number of people ignoring the existing ones and publicly practicing new ones.
Would you care to contribute to the Trump vs Clinton vs The Rest thread, Dave, with details of her campaign policies and how she plans to achieve them?
Sorry it came out so long, but when you ask me to talk about one or another of my passions, there's no shutting me up I'm afraid.

I'm with Dave in hoping the Cubs win. It's been 108 years in the making. I think Cleveland last one in 1948 (or thereabouts), so in comparison, that's almost yesterday.
I have a soft spot in my heart for underdogs.
