Unfortunately orthodox medicine is terrified of death, there is a time to live and a time to death, if only doctors and people understood this.

'Mom' is back at Arbor House(dementia/Alzheimer facility) under Hospice Care.
She has 24hr critical care. She 'woke up' for about 20 seconds and went back
to sleep. Now, it's a matter of time.......

I'm so sorry for you.

You know that she will soon be in a better place.

Peace be with you.

May the Lord comfort you at this time.

I've been through all this way back and I feel for you and yours.

That's sad news, indeed, Al. Expect bumps in the road ahead, but know that they are entirely normal. Eventually you and your wife will push through this together, but it will take some time.

Know that you have friends here.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother in law. My prayers are for you and your wife. Since I too have just lost my step son this week I know what you are going through. Just remember your friends here at SC are praying for you. Take the time to properly grieve as that will help you to fully come to terms with this. Remember she has gone to a much better place and now rests in the arms of her Lord.

God Bless,
Fred

So sorry.

Remember, there is no time limit to grieving, except that which feels right to you.

I'm saddened to hear the news. I lost my mother last year. You and your wife will retain memories, and these will keep her alive in your heads and hearts.

My thoughts are also with you UA at this time. One piece of good news is that such times prove to me that, though we are separated by vast distances, this site is more of a community where we can share our pain, sorrow, joys, triumphs and frustrations and get a sympathetic reaction from others that have been through similar experiences. It is not a bulletin board. People really care and can offer the symbolic hug even though we can't physically be there to do it. Take care UA, and Fred, Rick and any others who are going through similar times, and I hope that the funeral enabled some closure on her life.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
