Favorite sunglasses.... GONE!
Bad news... my favorite sunglasses.. the "girly" ones that I wear in virtually all of my skirted photos are somewhere along the creek that runs along US 58 in the Mount Rogers Recreational Area....
Apparently, I forgot to take them off the top of my head when I went for a little swim..... Sadly I was not able to find them, and interestingly enough I apparently recorded the whole thing!

Now that is a shame
You really like those glasses, I hope you can find another pair.

How long did your skirt and top take to dry out after that? I've found skirts dry much faster than trousers.moonshadow wrote:...interestingly enough I apparently recorded the whole thing!

There is no such thing as a normal person, only someone you don't know very well yet.

Yeah, thankfully they were only a dollar, but the bad news is, the store has stopped selling them and are phased them out to $16 pairs. I'll have to be on the look out for any stores that are still selling the cheap ones. Still sucks... I get somewhat attached to little things like that.Franinskirts wrote:Now that is a shameYou really like those glasses, I hope you can find another pair.
The ride home is about 20 minutes on a bicycle. It was only mildly damp by then. The biggest item that seemed to hold the water was my underwear. Of course when I got home, I just changed into my PJ's anyway. Pedaling a bike in a soppy wet skirt is somewhat difficult as it tends to stick to your legs. However trousers would have been equally tough and twice as uncomfortable. The skirt dried out much faster. Within about a mile of riding, they had dried out enough to where at least it wasn't clingy.pelmut wrote:How long did your skirt and top take to dry out after that? That is a shame about the glasses and frustrating to actually see where you lost them. It is clear water but they are probably covered in sand or silt. I imagine there would have been plenty of evaporative cooling riding in a wet skirt.

Moon, MOH did exactly the same thing when she went snorkelling in the sea when we were in Jamaica. Que sera, sera.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
