The cop never missed a beat, just looked over my license, and bid me a good day, and as I'm not mistaken, it was RIGHT at the Cumberland Gap, yes folks, that area of the country where Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia all meet.

It's best on a warm day when it's believable you could be shirtless.

Bring two towels: one to sit one and one to put on your lap in case of emergency.
Or, at night on one of those hot nights that we sometimes get in the Seattle area. Just don't do it in Marysville or Everett proper. The backroads around Granite Falls, Snohomish, Lake Stevens, etc, sure. Or, head down into the Snoqualmie Valley area (my area).

Another time that it works well is when it's raining, but above 60-65 deg F.

Towel is good, if it's a hot day and you're in a car with leather, or any time when driving in a car that has cloth. If it's not hot out, you can probably sit directly on the seat, if it's leather. I've never bothered with a towel. In fact, recently, when I've taken the garbage cans down to the end of the road, I've disrobed at the house, and left the clothing there. Did a 20 minute nighttime drive in the area when it was showery. Didn't have any clothing with me. No big deal.

I stood on the Equator once, one foot in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern. I still have mixed feelings about it.

Four Corners is still on my bucket list. That's a spot where you can stand with a quarter of yourself in Colarado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona.
The closer you live to something like Four Corners the less likely you have been there. I've been near it on all four sides but never went there. I have crossed the equator and the date line together. It was a rather interesting initiation ceremony becoming a Golden Shellback.
You don't get to judge me by your standards. I have to judge me by mine.

Yes, I've been living in Arizona 29 years now and still haven't seen the Grand Canyon. (I am going next month, though.)

I can see parts of Rocky Mountain National Park from my office window. I will hike and fish there more often this summer. This fall I will qualify for the senior price.

Lived in Brighton, Sussex for a good few years. As said, what ever is on your doorstep, never gets visited. One such attraction is the Royal Pavilion, Brighton---load of history and fantastic place inside.

Don't try to drive a Mercedes tractor unit with heels- the actual heel will not let you put much pressure on the brake pedal. Ok in a Daf 95, because the seal is higher, so you can work pedals as normal. Again in a Merc, because it it lower, people in a coach can see if you are skirted, also drivers of Renault Magnums can get an eyeful, as they are exceptionally high. But as they are actually passing you to see, they will have gone in a moment or two, so who cares.
So much more comfortable driving skirted- you don't get the ball crushing trouser crotch syndrome. :)

Am I correct in thinking, then, that you've never tried driving naked?

Not for show, of course, just for comfort and a new experience.

(Just be careful who you drive next to or pull up to at a stoplight.)
Just keep those hands at two and ten, lol. No excessive shifting.

That's another topic entirely, and one I'm pretty sure would be off-topic.

NOT RECOMMENDED - Just keep those hands at two and ten, !
Reason: you want to keep your hands out of the airbag deployment zone.
Best is the 9 & 3 position or the 8 & 4.
If you have your hands over the 10 & 2 zone when the airbag is deployed
you are going to punch yourself in the face and it ain't going to be pretty !

But never fear when the bag is deployed your modesty will be briefly covered
and then you won't care after knocking yourself out.
Oh and the medical chaps will have less trouble working on you sans clothing
body - you will save them the time to get to the bare facts to do CPR and use
the defibrillator - now that was easy and it wasn't Staples either !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Best way to drive IMO... left arm resting in an open window, right at about the 1 o'clock position, and old favorite song you haven't heard in years, blue skies, sunglasses, and a smile!

I drive an old-school Merc. which knows its own way almost everywhere around here. Only problem is, because of her age she is a bit forgetful and I have to input a little at T-junctions & roundabouts and the like. 8)

Normal progress is with the sun roof open, nice music from Lyric FM, arms at ten-to-two and in 55 years of driving I've never seen an airbag or have any intention of seeing one anytime soon. If I fancy a bit of sunburn I'll stick the RIGHT arm out on the window sill. My driving specs are photochromic, so in sunshine they're shades, anyway.

I have tried this but only at night. It's fun! Remember to sit on a towel or piece of clothing.
