A letter I put on my Facebook

Post by Elisabetta »

You all may share your thoughts just keep it civil please.

Every social networking site I have been linked to there's a pondering question that gets me every time I visit these sites. The question is what happened to our country?

As a Christian and a American Citizen I am absolutely disgusted. People put so much blame on the United States President for how our world is messed up. I'm here to tell you folks we are the sole reason why the world has become the way it has.

So many individuals are so focused on men wearing skirts.Transgendered people and which bathroom they can use when they need to release themselves. They worry over which Gay couple is getting married . They worry over who has transitioned themselves in becoming a male or female from the sex they're at. Christians out there throwing the Bible around and spewing so much hatred towards people yet they fail to see their own skeletons that fall from their own closet. They cast stones at others for their religious beliefs. However spewing hatred is really going to get them to come to being Christians? No it's not in fact it pushes them further away from ever wanting anything to do with the faith. Everyone blames Muslims and cast stones at them and for what? Let me tell you there's a bad apple on every tree in all religions but you can't take one bite and judge that by the entire tree of apples. Not everyone is the same. Not all Muslims are bad yet you judge them all. Not all Christians are bad yet you judge them all. Men can go topless however woman can't. I think men should be allowed to do just as much as us woman are allowed to do. Just like woman should be allowed to do all the things men are allowed to do. Equality to do the same.

Let me tell you something folks. You get out your Bibles and you beat people over the heads with them and claim Jesus is the answer to all your spewing hatred, bigotry and self righteousness. I am here to tell you Jesus was spreading love not hate. He even forgave those that turned away from him and no longer believed in him. Tell me something How is men who wear skirts harming anyone? They're not they want equality and the same thing we have as woman. The right to be free and accepted in wearing what ever they want without stones being thrown and ridicule given.( They're clothes for Pete's sake. It doesn't define their character. They're still the great men we all adore and love.) Transgendered people just want to use the bathroom and be accepted for their choices in life. Not called Queers and F*ggots just for dressing in how they feel comfortable. Gays just want to be able to love to without feeling as if they have to be like you and spew hatred when all they want is the same respect you aim for. Muslims want acceptance and not be labeled just because someone in their Faith choose to make a mistake. Actual Christians ( Not the ones who spew hatred) want for their fellow Christians not to make them look bad by spreading the hatred they are spreading and them getting placed in the category and compared to the rest of the Christians.

This world can change when we change it. Love can be given when we give it. Acceptance can be given when we give it. The more hate we spread the more downhill we go not just a Nation but as individuals. These people are not harming anyone. They're human beings just like all of us. If woman can go to supermarkets in their pajamas men should be allowed to wear skirts. It's just that simple. No one deserves to be labeled and made to feel as if they have to go through life getting stamps of approval. I say be who you are meant to be. Free spirited. Live and let live. I think once we actually start coming together as a country and spreading more love than spewing hate this country as a whole will be more enjoyable to live in.

"SUMMA CUM LAUDE"
That is the best sermon from the pulpit that has been expressed here in a long time if one has ever been expressed before !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Very well said Jenny. I agree 100% with what you have said, where ever there are different groups of people you will get some radicals, do not judge the group as whole because of these individuals. I am not American I am citizen of Planet Earth and your sentiments apply to the planet as whole. Well said. :D

All I can add to the responses to your letter is "Ditto!"

To Moon and Jenn, I am of the opinion that what we do is none of anyones business. If we wear skirts or dresses or even pants that are bright and loud, it is our business. I applaud Moon in his outing himself and though he is worried about what the future holds, he is still "Moon" no one can take that away from him or you. Since I no longer have to worry about my employer seeing me in a skirt. I wear anyplace I want. I was at one time living under the thumb of my employer and I did not like it one bit so I told them so face to face. I went looking for a job the next day and found one that was a thousand times better. So I quit with no notice just did not show up to work . I am sure that Moon can get a better job else where and do hope he does.

Prayers and good wishes going out to both of you.
