Summer...to shave or not to shave?

I've been shaving everything from the neck down since the early '80s. A few years ago, I bought an epilator and used it quite a bit. I would only epilate my arms and legs. Anywhere else hurts WAY too much for me! Then I started getting some ingrow hairs on my legs and went back to shaving. My body hair is medium to fine so shavng isn't much of a problem.

Smooth legs looks and feels great while wearing my skirts, kilts, or shorts! Not concerned at all with what others say. Never have, never will...

Lots of guys shave their legs: bicyclists, swimmers, basketball players, other athletes, dancers, and so forth. So what?

Without being weird about it, check out male legs during warm weather. Yes, you'll see some hairy ones, but probably a lot more smooth than you expected. Some smooth guys shave and some just aren't naturally hairy but either way, there's no need to hesitate about yourself. It's way more common than, say, wearing a skirt...

I for some reason don't have to bother, my legs are smooth which is odd cuz I have hair everywhere else. Wife and daughter are so jealous of my legs, as they say most women would kill to have my legs. Only thing is they don't look great in a man kilt.

Gordon, so true and another myth gone.
Oddly though, I shave the old pins more often in summer and my beard is thicker then too.
Hairy legs and tights, not to my taste. I don't do sheers, 20/30 denier minimum, works for me.
I haven't had to resort to trousers yet because of the weather either.

Well the weather in Florida is warming again bringing higher humidity. So it's back to shaving every other day instead of weekly or bi-weekly . Wow does that feel nice!! For me , definitely worth the effort !

It's true (the fact it's a myth), I shaved my legs and used Veet (hair remover) even though I don't have that much hair on my legs, but it never grew back any thicker. It's quite fine hair so light denier tights or stockings are not a problem if I want to dress up a little smarter for an evening out. I'm even confident enough to go bare legged in a skirt or LBD and heels in the sumner if at a party

Now that it's getting cool enough to cover up I'm about to do my annual full body shave. I use a 2 blade razor, no particular brand. I find that any more than 2 blades will become clogged with hair.

I wrote this post last fall. Now that spring has arrived I have stopped shaving. In fact, I'm letting everything grow, hair, beard, chest, legs. I'll be that crazy old hairy guy in a skirt.

I use Veet cream with Aloe. Only need to use it 4 times a year.
Works wonders Each person is different based on their level
of hormones in their bodies. Hormones help trigger hair growth.

I shave in the shower and it only takes me about 5 extra minutes to do my legs and about 3 minutes to do my chest. No big deal and no pain is involved.

I usually do legs arms and face, about every 2-4 days, head every other time. Without shaving my head, it takes about 30 minutes now, head included it takes about an extra 10. Got it down to a fairly consistent routine now.

i think i commented on this before. i have started shaving everything from the neck down. it seems to feel better to me. and since i liked shaved legs, i decided to shave my armpits on a whim. i discovered i liked it too. so i am going to stay hairless. luckily, i am not very hairy naturally

I've been shaving my legs for years. I like the way they feel and look. Shaved legs show more definition and look better under pantyhose.
