First really "warm" day of 2016!
AAAHHHH!!!
Took 99% of the day off today, and enjoyed this lovely March day! I'm not sure what the temp got to, but I do know that I started my day on this baggy clown work trousers, and once I got home from my errands, changed into the dress I photographed in the purple thread.
And then all was right with the world! It felt SO GOOD to get out of the duel stove pipes!

Been close to 80F here the last 3 days. Ive been otherwise busy, work and all, but today I managed to get in a bit of garden work, wearing a grey Aventura skirt and a tee shirt, which got sweaty and muddy and so I had to change it. Cool season leafy greens, lettuces, etc. I need to eat more veggies.
What is really nice is to return a little of the bourbon directly to the Earth, via the nitrogen cycle. The fresh air was almost enough to make me consider commando, if I wasn't concerned about late evacuee drips... I am an older man, after all, LOL.

As a matter of fact, the sun DOES shine out of my ...

Re: First really "warm" day of 2016!
Spring is here, ah spring is here! Life is skittles and life is beer! I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring. Don't you? 'Course you do.
With apologies to Tom Lehrer.
Yes, spring has apparently arrived. I thought I heard "peepers" (frogs, mainly) the other day in my backyard, and verified that in a couple of places today other than home, so it's likely true. I also had a report from one of my house-mates that the coywolves [0] are howling already, which means it's getting on towards mating season. The past few days mark the first time this year I've been able to venture out of the house without my jacket, and already light skirts are starting to beckon. Soon, hopefully very soon, I'll be able to retire the winter-weight bits to the closet for the summer and instead clad myself once again in nice light flowy stuff (not quite frothy, mind, but flowy/billowy nonetheless).
[0] It turns out that what we have here for coyotes are actually hybrids of coyotes, wolves, and a bit of domestic dog (in order of DNA concentration). They're smart and adaptable, and more than capable of living in outright urban environments. I didn't want to tell my house-mate that as she might freak out with the mention of the syllable "wolf"; she was spooked enough as is.

Ah yes, a beautiful near-spring day last Tuesday. Had a bonfire and had all my children and grandchildren there. We are all clinging to each other; missing their Nana, Mother, my Wife. It's been 1 month since her passing. No tears today just a celebration of life.

That sounds wonderful, Rick -- just the way it should be.
