Tsk.
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

The first time I heard that, the speaker went on to say that the tradition of marrying in white was so that they'd match the rest of the kitchen appliances...

...I should probably note that the individual concerned is now divorced (three times!) and completely broke, thanks to the settlements. Maybe his misogyny was appropriately "rewarded"?

Have fun (but let's try to avoid doing it at the expense of others),

A couple things I've discovered with skirt wearing, regarding shoes. Sandals are always your friend, especially flip flops, particularly when wearing a maxi skirt. Otherwise, the narrower the shoe, or rather, the more it fits the foot, the more natural it fits with the skirt. At least, that is how it is with women. They wear shoes, sandals/heels/flats that fit the foot in that they are narrow. While you can get women's shoes like ballerina flats online in bigger sizes, like from Long Tall Sally or on Ebay or Amazon, they can tend to be expensive. Thus, men's alternative narrow shoes that fit the foot more that would likely go well with a skirt, from my experience, are Vans slip-ons or any other type of Vans old-school type of shoe. Another is Sanuk, the shoe that claims to be a sandal, as men's and women's Sanuks are almost completely similar in look. They are quite comfortable and can go with skirts well, in terms of fitting the foot more and being more narrow.

As for good comfy flip flops, I can recommend either Olukai or Fitflop. Fitflops in womens can have quite a unisex or masculine look to them, so if you can find them in your size, snatch em up!

I have been fortunate with my shoe size, I am a size 8 US/or women's 11/ 41 European and so I have a great selection to draw from, kinda doubles my selection in most cases.
With a skirt I will wear knee boots, booties, sneakers and sandals for what ever occasion and weather comes along. Being a fan of knee boots I am often wearing them with our cool climate. I do buy my shoes online and from stores if I see something I like, Fluevog in Canada is one of my go to stores, Solestruck in Portland Ore. and several others. Buying them at store I try them on to make sure they fit, online is a little more challenging but it does work out for the most part. It makes the out work. But that is lots of the fun is getting them together.
