A men's size 10, eh? Contemplate what a size 12 looks like poking out from under a skirt -- and with that size foot there's no way in creation that anything other than a man's shoe is going to be found in anything resembling interesting, petite (yeah, right!), or attractive. So, yep, I'm stuck.moonshadow wrote:But as far as clunkiness.... I may look somewhat silly wearing a skirt with a size 10 men's shoe on. But not as silly as I'd look tripping and falling all over the place because I'm wearing a shoe that's one size too small. Not to mention, I'd be miserable.
Well... don't despair. You're tall enough to where in my opinion your shoe size works with the rest of you. As can be illustrated in this thread:crfriend wrote:So, yep, I'm stuck.
Youncan find size 12s on Amazon, onlineshoes.com, and zappos.com at standard price and with postage-free returns.moonshadow wrote:...It seems you start to get into more noticeable differences when you get into the nicer "dress" shoes, to which there is a more clear difference between mens and womens shoes. Which I understand, some of us might want a women's "dress" shoe, or a mary jane to freestyle in, but as for me.... it's simply not important enough to justify special ordering a size 12 shoe that I'm not even sure if I'm going to like...
14 to 15 in US male sizes? I happily cede my nickname from younger years -- Sasquatch -- to you, sir!dillon wrote:Fourteen to fifteen here.

Yes. A 14 fits me fine in European and US better brands, but in Chinese-made athletic shoes, including brand names, a 15 is snug. Perhaps its stinginess with materials or perhaps simple disbelief that there are feet my size!Kilted Musician wrote:Something I've noticed over the years is that shoe sizes aren't consistent with what they used to be. Up until about 10-15 years ago, I would always take a 9 1/2 in just about any style but now it's around 10 1/2, depending on who makes them. I don't think my feet haven't gotten any longer over the years. Anyone else noticed this?

You must be dainty. I haven't worn a 7 since I was 7! Yet it amazes me how you small-footed guys have such substantial waists... You should be toppling over!Sinned wrote:Your posts make my UK size 7's seem positively dainty, and I'm 5'8". I can wear women's size 8's comfortably and I do have some strappy women's shoes that are so comfortable. My sons are also size 7. My wife wears a size 5 and daughter, I think, a size 4. With your size 14 shoes I think I would need paddles!!
