I have few similar skirts (kilts) BUT MUST BE WORN with dark shaded tights/leggings/or sheer to waist PH and never with bare legs.
The protocol of how to sit stand and stoop must be religiously enforced.
Sure weather can be factor as to what is worn outside but the legs can take the extremes of cold better than other extremities.

An example of my s s (short skirt) wardrobe go to:

http://www.sportkilt.com

and view the ladies mini kilts - 14 inch hem length with typical Velcro waist fastening - in plain Ninja Black and other various
plaid colors (Anderson-MacPferson-Scottish/Irisher are the ones I have photos ---).

Oh and Happy New Year although Happy I am not so much sure of but Live Long and Prosperous to enjoy it no matter what it brings !

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I have several of those skirts above, some as short as ten inches so have to wear tights with them. I've found that a soft 14inch mini is OK in summer on me, I just have to watch out on windy days.

hairy:

Did you get your skirts (kilts) from the SportKilt people in Long Beach CA USA or from a seller in the UK trade name BunnyWear aka SisterFunBunny ?
OR possibly an Ebay seller - a lot of those have come and gone.
I am in favor of the skirt/kilt type with the Velcro wrap waist closing - don't have to worry too much about weight (dimension) gain or loss and there
is no need for a belt accessory to hold things up and in place.
Something I like very much with the SportKilt design is the elastic band in the back of the waist - makes casual wearing very comfortable.
SportKilt can custom make a kilt from your 10 inch hem to something 24+ inches or more south of the knee.
Realizing the shipping to the UK and Europe maybe costly prohibited - but the option is there however.
The reverse is true - I wanted to make a recent order from Bunnywear but was advised that they no longer post to the USA because of the costs.
I like their pull-on box pleated skirts - easy care low maintenance and pleats stay pleated no matter what short of getting a scissors and cutting them out !

I'm in UK so I got mine from sisterfunbunny, the clip and Velcro ones. I'm of the understanding that she will post anywhere around the world. I also have loads of other cheaper mini's.
