We had another church couple over to eat with us. My wife asked me to change out of the mid-length snap closure (all the way) denim skirt she gave me. I wore my forest green utility kilt from Scottish Kilt Shop and an orange short sleeve, left buttoned plaid shirt.

Well I started to slip on one of my favorite calf length black skirts and a purple T tucked in. I felt miserable when showering, and finally just conceded to Jenn that I'm not going to make it. So after about 10 minutes, I slipped the skirt back off and into my PJ's and watched DVD's. To my pleasant surprise, the girls brought dinner home to me from Shoney's. Which was good because I was somewhat hungry.

We all ate together at the table out of styrofoam dishes. I nibbled a bit here and there, and decided not to push it. Still feel a little queezy. Logged into the cafe, answered a few post, and now as I finish this sentence my stomach is churning again. Time to go sit on the commode once more, then DVD's for the remainder of the evening. Got to make it into work tomorrow or I'll loose my holiday pay.

I am however going to call this Thanksgiving a positive one, even though I was sick as a dog all day long. My wife and daughter really came through tonight, and they weren't the least bit upset about my situation, even though I felt really bad about it. It's amazing how some of the more memorial, best holidays are the ones where nothing went as planned.

Logging out for the day.... Happy Thanksgiving! See you all on the flip side!

Was this church couple already aware of your skirt-wearing?

And if not, how did they react?
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

I may be coming late to the Thanksgiving clothing-choice party, but I thought that I'd report as I haven't been here in a while. I wore a purple-ish T-top with a dark red and cream-colored printed silk skirt and black flats. But I recently came out as transgender so none of the relatives paid any extra attention to my attire.

Probably not.

No reaction. They're friends.
