Men are the problem
Re: Men are the problem
To get back to the original thread theme, whilst there may be a lot of blame apportioned to men for being too cowardly to buck the trend there are always exceptions. I have outwardly and totally embraced skirts for men but the ONLY thing that stops me is the opposition of MOH. No, I ain't scared to wear a skirt in public and there are many on this site like me. Stevie is in a similar or better position than me as at least he wears a skirt to work something I don't think I can do as I work in retailing.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

You can still wear the Timberland with the skirt or Clarks (they have some really nice boots that usually are of better quality than Timberland)!JeffB1959 wrote:Pretty much that. Men are fearful of being looked upon as wussies or gay if they're not decked out in flannel shirts, baggy jeans and Timberlands while sporting a month's worth of scruff on their faces and chugging down beer at a football tailgate, yadda, yadda, yadda. Well, I proudly wear skirts, women's tops and high heels in public and still maintain my masculinity. Clothes do NOT define my being man, never have, never will.

It takes a while to deprogram your brain! For me now, It is not a big deal. Wearing skirts is like wearing pants, it has become something natural that I don't even think about. The other day, this older lady told me "Nice outfit".
