A little update.

Post by straightfairy »

I'm aware that I haven't been on here for a while and, as ever, cannot predict when I will next be on, so I thought a little news may be in order.
First off, I do still wear skirts, but not as often, and not in public anymore, partly due to..
my mental health is somewhat variable and my confidence consequently low - I'm only recently off anti-depressants.
I've bought one or two skirts, but also got rid of a few as as I now have a better idea what I want from my skirts and kilts.
I wrote my car off in May and escaped with just a bump on the head, not bad considering I went through (yes, through) a telegraph pole at 50mph.
I flew away on hols the next day.. :)
I lost my job 4 days after getting my eventual replacement car. Told my face didn't fit..
Still doing bits of acting (have you seen Spooks - The greater good? In the intro you see my old car for a about 0.2 seconds on a monitor)
You'll also see me every so often on Emmerdale and Doctors.
Still making wine etc. :)

Good to hear from you Straightfairy. I was wondering if it was something I'd said

Sorry to learn about the loss of confidence; it is not always easy to get back once it disappears. However, I found that wearing skirts forced me to feign confidence and that over time that slight deception of others developed into reality. My skirt wearing habit has resulted, indirectly, in a significant increase in self-confidence. Perhaps you simply need to step back down the skirt wearing progress curve a little and build back up at a pace that suits you?

Anyway, irrespective of your public skirting, please don't be a stranger. Drop in and say "hi" whenever the fancy takes you.

Have fun,

Ian.
