Summer...to shave or not to shave?

I'm curently getting electrolysis on my torso and ear hair.

I would give my left arm to have the hair on my ears on the top of my head instead.
How uncomfortable/painful is electrolysis on the ears?

It's painful. Luckily I have an understanding doctor who gave me a script for some pain meds. The electrolysis operator can dial it down to whatever you can tolerate but the lower settings are not as good to get rid of the hair. It would take many more sessions to kill the folical. My understanding is that it's near impossible to kill with just one zap. Hence the hairs get zapped multiple times.

Are you actually getting electrolysis (slipping an electrode down to each follicle and then killing it with an electrical shock) or laser hair removal (where the operator exposes successive rectangles of skin to a hand-held laser gun)?

My impression is that the laser hair removal is much more common these days.

I had laser hair removal on my back about ten years ago and nothing has come back.

For different patient and different clinic, of course, the results may be different as well.

This is true. The laser method works best with dark hair on light skin. Conversely, the lighter the hair or the darker the skin, the less well it works.

I didn't mean to be critical; I was just asking because the laser method seems to be so much more popular these days. But apparently electrolysis is still alive and kicking.

While I've used a 3 blade Mach 3 for over 15 years, the 1st time I saw a 4 blade razor many years ago, I thought it was a joke, using one on my face change my mind. It was an incredible shave, I just never went out & bought one on my own, mainly due to the cost. When I saw the 6 blade razor from the Dollar Shave Club, I thought it rather stupid to have so many blades, but knowing this was an economical experiment, I decided to go with the 6 blades & WOW I am glad I did. I know I mentioned this before, but after 2 days later, my legs are insanely smooth. I'm not sure it's an exfoliation factor or not, but wow. Unbelievably Smooth. I'm definitely going to stay smooth for s long time

Now that it's getting cool enough to cover up I'm about to do my annual full body shave. I use a 2 blade razor, no particular brand. I find that any more than 2 blades will become clogged with hair.

I'd use an electrical body hair shaver first to shorten the hair to stubbles, then finalize with a blade. But I've only done this for facial hair yet. I thought about shaving my legs too, but I seriously doubt MOH would be very excited. Overall I adopted quite a few female attributes last year and shaving my legs would possibly rock the boat too much for now. OTOH the COGIATI test gave me an index of +70 (meaning my inner self has a decent amount of feminity) which I'd like to see as sort of permit but I doubt she would accept that as valid argument.

These days (winter's coming) I'm mostly wearing mini skirts and leggings, so shaving wouldn't make a difference anyway as noone could see it. And in summer... Well, years ago most of my dark hair left the summit in search of better grounds and propagated on the rest of my body, making me quite a hairy guy. Shaving my legs only would look, well, strange... Imagine Amelia Rowe's "And good girls drag their arses too" in black and you'll get the idea...

I am a runner and I do have very little hair. So for me using an electric shaver does the job perfectly and leaves me legs smooth and clean.
I prefer shaved legs but I think that men should be free not to shave. Although shaved legs leave a clean look and I think looks much better when earing skirts or kilts.

Well, it was unavoidable. I just shaved my legs.

Problem was that I am not that comfortable in leggings as they keep squeezing my best parts and are only available in thicker material. Some sort of "hold-up leggings" would be a solution, but you don't get something like that anywhere except very special ones for bedroom play I bought some normal hold-up stockings for a first test but because of my leg hair they didn't stick to my legs and kept slipping down. So today I finally had enough. I shaved my legs using a combination of dry and wet rarzors and now the stockings stay where they belong. I just had to cut off the toes and sew the hem to convert them to sheer leggings.

Right after shaving I was wearing on of my sarongs and boy, the feeling of light rayon slightly touching freshly shaven legs is just awesome. I'm just missing some insulation now and have the constant feeling of cold legs. But of course a mini skirt and 20den tights actually are not the best choice for a cold day...

For now I'm quite happy with my shaved legs, let's see if I change my opinion when the first stubbles grow back...

Shaving is a bargain with the devil for sure. If you decide to revert to a hirsute condition, you will suffer through the stubble to do so. And the penalty for a man to enjoy smooth legs is a regimen of frequent "grounds maintenance". Oh, the price of pleasure!

Not because they (my wife and daughter) don't know I've been shaving my legs (they do), but rather, to keep them out of it! It's bad enough they steal all of my face shaving cream.

Life is good today.

Yep. I shave my legs, chest, armpits and face all in the same morning. About once every three days. I try to start every weekend with a fresh shave all around.

No problems to speak of. My leg hair never was very coarse so I dont seem to be having much of an issue with razor bumps or ingrowns. A few tend to come and go near my inner thigh, but it causes no discomfort and j don't wear anything that high so Im not worried about it. I do apply some body lotion after a shave to help with the dry feeling I get afterwards.

Ive been using my own Venus razor for leg and body along with women's shave cream in the shower. Then I continue to use my other mach 3 and mens shaving cream for my face as I've always done. I don't use the girls shaving stuff as I think its rude and unsanitary to share razors. That why I keep the Venus razor hidden.

But yeah.... so far so good. Still love the feeling of freshly shaved legs.

Loving my "Executive Blade" from the Dollar Shave Club. Smooth as a baby's bottom. I'm about to go shave again for the day. Doubt I'll wear a skirt out, but don't mind a bit wearing shorts, showing my shaved legs.

Not sure when/if I'll public skirt, but I doubt I'll stop shaving any time soon . . . It just feels too darn good. Plus, the wife loves to leg-lock me in the morning, while trying to wake up. It turns her on, so win-win !!
