Now this little tale relates to a time long after Day Eight.
An American was having lunch at a Dublin city centre restaurant which had extensive views over the street outside. While he was dining he was fascinated to observe a bloke dig a 4ft hole in the pavement, then another 6 yards away, then another &c, while a second bloke came along and filled the holes in again, replacing the paving slabs as before.
He finished his meal and went outside & asked the first bloke what this digging & filling was all about.
'Well, ye see, de bloke dat plants de truees is off sick today...'

I love it! Those flu jabs are best administered orally....They taste better that way.
I sometimes dead-pan in my 'office' tell a patient how best to deal with nocturnal toothache.....Take one measure of whiskey and hold it in the mouth over the painful tooth for ten minutes, then swallow it. Then take a second dose of whiskey and hold that over the tooth for a further ten minutes & swallow that. Then a third dose is held over the tooth for a further ten minutes, after which it is also swallowed.
You will then have had three tots of whiskey within half an hour and should have a very good night's sleep!
