I have been known to have beer just before breakfast. I drink different beers depending on the season. In the summertime I favor pilsner beer (a light lager). Come winter a nice stout before breakfast would hit the spot.

A beer for breakfast has been known to suppress a hangover from a night on the town !
-OR- at least restart the clock to a different beat refreshing the taste buds.
Only thing better in my opinion is a strongly spiced 'Bloody Mary' - Yowser !

Caution - Alcohol consumed at anytime of the day may cause taste and mood altering thinking !
So why am I posting this - Oh something about beer & breakfast being the breakfast of champions
and I am championing this menu - event.
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Hey that's a great idea! Also put a little bourbon in the coffee and top the coffee with whipped cream!

Sort of like variations of "Irish Coffee" - substitute the poison of your choice be it American Whiskey; Irish; Scotch; Brandy etc. with cream light; heavy; whipped
even ice cream and breakfast in bed is heaven in bed !

All this talk about beer in the morning reminds me of my younger days when I would party all night and drink warm beer and eat cold pizza the next morning.

RMA wrote that Breakfast in bed can be heaven in bed.

Although such a mildly alcoholic breakfast can be a sort of heaven when taken in bed, I would associate 'heaven in bed' with an altogether different activity!
