Underkilt

My employer has expressed being disturbed about me wearing a skirt at work, but has agreed that a kilt is acceptable. However, it was stated that I needed to wear underwear. For me, part of what makes a skirt comfortable is to not have something binding on some very sensitive skin where the legs join.

I have seen "underkilts" (essentially slips) advertized. I am very short between waist and knee, so the underkilts (and most slips) are too long for me, and cost a lot for a low income worker such as myself. So I decided to make a simple underkilt. I just took out the bottom seam of a few pairs of old men's boxers. I can even occasionally let the waistband show above the kilt belt to reassure my employer, but still have feeling of freedom.

I think I successfully stopped that from being in a proposed dress code, at least for now.

Hey, I'm pleased a utility kilt is deemed acceptable. You can't have everything, all the time. If I were running the place, it would be clothing optional.

So true. And a Utilikilt isn´t that bad, compared to a regular skirt.
