Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
This is the first year that I've shaved the old pins right through and as I wear tights most days ,so much more comfortable.
It also lends itself to a greater choice and variety of legwear. I tend to wear 40 denier opaques at work and keep the sheers or fancier stuff for off-duty or dress down days.
As for Mrs K, I'm damned if I do or don't, so I go my own way.
Steve.

Not to boast, but I've never had to shave my legs as they've always been hairless, and I liked that!
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.
Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
Well I never had much hair anyways and it is light colored, so I have shaved whatever I had off for last 15 years. Rest of body does not produce much either just on the face,
and that is a pain to deal with. I prefer smooth overall.

I don't have nearly as much leg hair as I used to, and about once every two weeks I shave what little is left.
Shaved and/or hairless legs on men are actually rather common. Just take a look out during warm weather

For those of you who shave your legs, you've got to try a sugar scrub. Shave as usual, then apply sugar scrub to legs to exfoliate, rinse and shave again. Wow, very nice. Of course anytime you shave twice it's going to be smoother than just once. But the sugar scrub exfoliates and the second shave removes all that dead skin. It's kind of messy, but so worth it.

Sounds good. I'm in. Granulated, caster or demerara sugar? Do sweeteners have much the same effect?
Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
Many years ago, before wearing skirts I considered shaving my legs. Then I would have had one question to answer, "why do you shave your legs?" and that would have been OK for me to handle.
Then, shortly afterwards, I started wearing skirts (including kilts) and if I had also shaved my legs, I should have had two questions to answer: "Why do you wear a skirt, and why do you shave your legs?"
Why make it more complicated than necessary, I thought - and stayed with my hairy legs.

Do as you wish but at least in my experience, the difference in public reaction between a skirt and hairy legs and a skirt and smooth legs is zero.

Caultron is right. I've had zero comments on shaved legs and a few on skirts. Besides, you're missing out on a great tactile feeling.

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
No one has ever commented on my shaved legs, but around here they don't comment on skirts either. That doesn't mean they aren't looking and wondering, of course.

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
Do you shave your legs to wear shorts??
If not, why should you shave your legs to wear a skirt..
They are the same legs and you are the same person..
My 5 cents.

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
Actually, I did shave my legs when I was wearing shorts, back in my pre-skirt days. I just never liked the look of body hair.MrUtopia wrote:Do you shave your legs to wear shorts??

But everyone is entitled to their own decision, and I can only tell you that my personal decision, FWIW, is smooth.

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
I shave too, all year round.
Bare legs are not a realistic option for the office and I find tights on hair jolly uncomfortable.
I've only been asked about it once in the past four years or so and that was from a female colleague on the first occasion I wore a skirt at work.
In summer, I tend toward natural coloured semi opaques which keep the cover and reasonably cool.
I'd echo "to each their own" but a common comment seems to be, that if guys wear skirts, their legs should be shaved. N.B. only reporting, not my personal opinion.
