The spice of life

All quite different, even though they are all denim, whereas jeans are just jeans. Why wear trousers when you can wear a skirt?

.....and do I recognise that iconic structure, the 'Leaning shed of Kilbride' in the background, Alastair?

If I were to put my skirts out to dry like that MOH would snatch 'em off & bin the lot!, alas.

Meh! I'm too lazy to go through that sort of bother. Thank goodness for dry cleaners!

Dead right, Jan! Here is the whole load of washing.

The skirts were easy to iron, so whole lot didn't take too long. I've always hated ironing trousers, but skirts are no bother. Yet another advantage!

Tom, that is my other shed. The Leaning Shed is just visible, far right.

Thats a nice collection of denim skirts. Can I deduct from the whole load that you wear skirts 5 days a week?

Hi SS,
Nice shot and I would not dream of raising a "public laundry" question. A picture paints a thousand words as the song says and this one has echoes for me. I find it refreshing to see a picture so mundane but essentially the real truth.
My skirts are every day ,that necessitates washing and ironing, simple fact of life. I must admit that some are easier to iron than others and always better than trousers.
By the way, that load looks light, mine would also comprise several pairs of tights and other accoutrements.

Light? I was slightly concerned that the weight of all that wet denim would be more then the washing machine could stand. The tights etc went in a different load. (I hope not have to wear tights again for a few months.)

In the evenings, yes. But not for the 9 to 5.

Funny!, I always wondered what the correct spelling for 'Yuck' was.

Truth is, that clothes line has no problem with wet denim, as Alastair practices his high wire walking along it. It's no wonder the shed to the right off the picture is 'leaning'
