Sorry Jhn if I got the wrong end of the stick. Don't mean to upset anyone, least of all you. { Throws shovel away having decided to stop digging. }

Don't worry about offending me, Sinned. I can understand why you would be curious about me. If I thought of myself as a trans-woman I don't think I would be posting on this website using my real masculine name. So if you have any further questions I will be glad to answer you. As I say, I have no hard feelings at all.

Those do look pretty extreme. I'd recommend something with about 2" non-stiletto heels for a start.

So why should it be any different for tights, or high-heel shoes, or any article of clothing?

Although I suppose that the higher the percentage, the more extreme the result.

Hmmm...

Here are a photo I found on Flickr. It's not me, although I suppose I should get and upload some. If it's anyone here on the board, thanks, hope you don't mind. But would it've been so much different if he'd been wearing sneakers?

Here's another, this one from Facebook. Obviously not for everyone, but just saying...

That second photo is brilliant! Where did you find it? I like the style!

I have been wearing the boots to all sorts of events, they do make noise but on one has made a comment.
They have a 2" heel

Some day I will wear these out one evening. These have a 3" heel.

At some point I might give these a try with my Kilt.

Those are all nice but, at least for now, not my style. I guess I'm just not into boots, which I've always thought break up the curvature of the leg. And a thick 2" heel is plenty for me now.

But don't let anything I say hold you back. Whatever works.

What about Flamenco Dance Shoes for men

Image
This is but one example of this type of heeled dance boot/shoe.
The website (link above), has many different styles to choose from :D
This info is from a "Google Search" for "Flamenco Dance Boots for men"

Hope this info helps you not feel you're wearing 'women's shoes'.
There are many 'made for men' shoes/boots with heels :D

Have fun exploring :D

I looked into some dance shoes like this, and also into men's shoes with a so-called "Cuban" heel.

Based on user feedback on Web sites, many of the dance shoes are made to be very light and may not stand up very well to daily wear. This obviously varies from one brand and style to another but it's something to look for.

I actually orderd a pair of Cuban-heeled shoes from Amazon but they had long pointed toes that i didn't like and they didn't fit well. But again, this will vary with the show and wearer.

It is reassuring, though, that some high-heel shoes are made specifically for men, because then you can buy women's shoes in a similar style and not feel so, uh, flagrant.

I think it's this one.

I can't tell if he's wearing a short skirt, short shorts, or just the jacket but he's definitely got guts.

No further info, except that the Facebook poster found the photo on Flickr.
