Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I do so dislike that expression!
What could be easier than donning a skirt? No shoving involved at all.
Easier still if the skirt wraps around the body; no need even to bend down.
I am so pleased to have the convenience of a wrap skirt when dressing at the swimming pool, seeing how much trouble other men have, trying to shove one foot at a time down their pipes without dirtying their lovely trousers on the wet floor.
So far though, none have tried copying me ...
I too have several wrap skirts i have made, different fabrics denim, corduroy linen etc. Just three pieces of fabric sewn together, easy as can be and with no flare, not femme at all wear them everywhere really great for long drives as they dont ride up to cut off cirrculation to ones brain
The only awkward thing about donning a skirt is sliding a short slip inside the skirt as you draw the skirt upward. But a minor factor really. Unfortunately often a slip is needed to avoid the static cling of a nylon-based material.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
I rarely need a slip unless wearing a skirt that tends to cling to tights worn beneath, then I wear a snug lycra shaping slip; my skirts are normally snug enough and short enough for static cling not to be an issue. With my two dresses I wear a full length shaping cami-slip. But since the dresses are tank style I usually have something on over them anyway.
As a matter of fact, the sun DOES shine out of my ...
Another way of doing it is to put the slip inside the skirt, then slide the whole assembly up the legs (or over the top, which is sometimes more convenient, especially if said skirt has an elastic waistband).

That is the easiest way of doing it - and you can take them off as a pair and store them together. Most of my skirts stay paired with their respective underskirts, that way there is less chance of accidentally wearing a too-long underskirt that shows below the hem of the skirt.
There is no such thing as a normal person, only someone you don't know very well yet.
