Re: Caftans!
I am finding that the more I wear kaftans/dresses the more I like them,
starting to like them better than separate shirt and skirt.

This is why I use to wear 80% of the time dresses and sometimes skirts.

And they look good on you! But then again, so do your colorful kilted ensembles.Ron wrote:I am finding that the more I wear kaftans/dresses the more I like them,

What do you like most about the Kaftans/Dresses? The convenience of a one-piece full-coverage garment? Or maybe the lack of something wrapped around your waist?
No shirt, no shoes, no pants, no gods. No worries!

Not having a belt tight around my waist is much more comfortable and a loose kaftan/dress can feel like you are wearing nothing
even though you are completely covered

Now that sounds about as close to perfect as a garment can get.Ron wrote:Not having a belt tight around my waist is much more comfortable and a loose kaftan/dress can feel like you are wearing nothing

Re: Caftans!
Around the house and in the yard I feel free to simply wear maxi-dresses and other dresses. They are a lot easier to get than caftans.
There is something that is so comfortable of a garment that hangs from the shoulder and does not bind the waist. It's the next best thing to being naked, particularly when you have to replace rotten wood fence posts under the hot sun - you have to pry the crossmembers off the old fence post, and get the concrete encased post stump out of the ground with a 6 foot steel rod. Next, you have to set the new galvanized steel post in the ground with a half of an 80 lb bag of concrete mix and water. Then you have to fasten the crossmembers to the new post with brackets.
That is really the time you want something really comfortable without the binding of pants.
