Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
For the second year in a row, the HEJ menskirt award will be given to a person or group of persons in recognition of his/her efforts for the promotion of Male Unbifurcated Garments and of sartorial freedom. YOU can propose (or express your support for) a candidate in the comments section of the "Prix HEJ" photo album of our Facebook page /asso.hej !)
You've got two, alsachti, and I'll throw my hat into that ring as well making it three. Jack loved his "unbifurcated" garments right 'til the end, and even had one on at his "viewing" at his wake.

Who's going to nominate him then? My schoolboy French isn't up to the task and I'm not overly familiar with the site. Any French speakers out there who could do the job as our site representative? I don't mind adding my vote when the time comes.

I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
I'll add my support for nominating Jack Williams. Seems that the proportion of folk here who won't touch farcebook with a barge pole is rather high, though. Hopefully alsachti will at least return and take note of the posts in this thread.

I am on FB so I could do it (though anyone can make nomination via the HeJ website). The deadline isn't until November, which would give me a good while to polish up my irregular verbs!
We do have a prolific member here who has lived in France ... are you out there, Martin?

In France right now!
Actually I would have wanted to nominate Greg from Denmark, who seems to have abandoned this café, preferring kilts for himself, but whose web site is a mine of Unbifurcated information. He has even written an English version for the anti-europeans.
