Where to find skirt/kilt shops

Post by skirtingtoday »

I have just downloaded the latest copy of HEJ (issue No 5)

In that it gives locations and sites for ourchasing skirts or kilts or UK's around the globe - mainly in USA and Europe though there is one outlet in Japan. Hope it comes out OK.

We are more enlightened around here as we have loads of shops selling skirts ranging from the ( now not so cheap ) charity shops through mid-range shops such as ASDA and Tesco and high end shops such as Calvin Klein and Paul Smith. Lots of styles to choose from and prices too! Some I would buy and wear but most I wouldn't. I have to be choosy as I have loads of skirts as it is. I even saw a kilt in our local Greenwoods shop in town. Ominously it didn't have a price on it!!!!

Hommes en Jupe.

They're foreign. French, judging by the captions on their maps, so the worst sort.

Voting UKIP this Thursday, Dennis?
Keep on skirting,

Where on earth would you get that Idea, skrtysct? Is it THIS Thursday? My, how time flies. Actually for the first time since turning 18 I may exercise my prerogative and not vote at all. I haven't decided yet. About a year or so ago I did think of actually joining UKIP but then sanity reigned once more. I think that I'm possibly at the right side of apolitical now. Not one of the parties stands for what I believe at the moment.

HEJ is Hommes en Jupe as SS stated (and it translates as Men in Skirts)

The latest HEJ magazine is available under http://issuu.com/assohej/docs/gazettee05. After each article there is a short summary in English.

Looking for Kilts and forum commentary check this LINK out:

http://www.kiltsrock.com/forum/

This is one of the most complete websites regarding Kilts !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I'm inclined to like them, given their cause.

I like them too; they are geared a bit toward publicity, and thus want to be visible.
In the journal I liked the mention of the Tintin characters; always thought Tintin looked great in the kilt, and the unbifurcated Incan garments in Prisoners of the Sun are wonderful.
When I heard about skirting, I jumped in with both feet!
