Xebec-frigate

Having researched the Xebec frigate style, my interest piqued from my cheeky rejoinder to Carl a couple of days ago, I was interested to see that the action described actually happened on the 6th of May 1801, when the "Speedy" took on the Spanish Xebec, "El Gamo" and won the victory against all odds with the exact same disparity in size. Here is a painting depicting the action.

Lovely picture SM. Even though it was May, when I got tossed into the water that day it was quite chilly!
