Yes I agree. Skirts can be a very powerful fashion statement and I must say, I do like making it. We also know most men have never tried wearing a skirt, let alone wearing one in public. Therefore it is of equal importance to us to not only build designs that leave a lasting impression but also can act as a "bridge" between pants and skirts for the new connoisseur.

Thank you for your words!

"...rather than trying to bend their desires to fit our designs." Is Apostrophe in an experimental phase?

Earlier it was stated that we are now working out the first photoshoots for the Apostrophe lines. In past posts I have included pictures from my television show that broadcasts in our local area. We will have more formal "good" pictures out as soon as we have worked all of the logistics with our models, photographers and apparel professionals.

Hang in there, we are working as fast as we can :)

The Apostrophe brand is new, but the label built upon the 20+ years of experience of our design and business professionals. So yes the lines are new but the expertise is very established :)

The fact that we are a "new arrival" had allowed us to be as flexible as we have been to the many inputs you and others have been giving across the globe. Who knows, in 10 years we might not be able to be as flexible as we are now, but it is our desire to be as adaptive and flexible to our Apostrophe family needs as possible; thus the statement you have quoted before.

I hope this helps :).

I can see us constantly bringing in new lines to facilitate the many diverse needs of our ever-growing family, or adapting and improving our many lines as we journey together with many great years of growth and success ahead of us.

Thank you for asking!

Talk soon!

There are a few lessons to be learned from non-traditional kilts. New designs should have excellent pockets. A few of these have a "modesty closure system" with a loop and button arrangement. Check out kilting links.

Unless someone specifically asks for it, avoid the color pink.

What, on gods' green Earth, is wrong with pink?!

The myth that "pink is for girls" has been well and truly busted (as in debunked) several times -- including the "swap" in colours for boys/girls (as children) in the 1940s.

One of the guys here even has a eye-blisteringly hot pink kilt that looks pretty darned good!

80 out of how many? Now multiply total manskirt sales by that fraction. Result is close to zero.

I have a pink shirt, a pink tie, and a pair of trousers that started out light red but are now decidedly pink. But I doubt I'd wear a pink skirt. Too many fem signals in one go (says the man who wears tights with his skirts  )
Keep on skirting,

PINK kilts available at:

http://www.sportkilt.com

They are available for women in all lengths and surprisingly also for MEN !
Currently they have a promotion of 15% off any PINK kilt.

The PINK kilt is a version of the Red Stewart with a Pink tartan pattern instead of the Red tartan pattern.
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Here is some noteworthy information for the pink and blue argument:

I found this fascinating when I learned of it about a year ago :). There is plenty of documentation everywhere but how many people actually know this? :)

It's rather worse than that. How many people are actually curious enough to question the status-quo? Or, brave enough to actually flaunt convention.

I like the shot of FDR in the Smithsonian article, but it's only one of a great many from that period showing youngsters so attired. Too, it seems that the age at which children began to wear "adult clothes" (which removed, permanently, the skirt option for guys) was variable and I've seen ranges between as low as 3 and as high as 7. Other examples of such rigs can be seen from various museum collections at OMG That Dress (under "children's").

What the author of the article misses, however, is that as women gravitated toward more masculine (the author uses the term "neutral", which I would dispute in context) styles it had the effect of pushing the guys farther and farther into a corner that there's no escape from. Like "getting painted into a corner", there's no way out until either the paint dries or the frustrated individual either takes out a wall or decides to say, "Screw it" and walk out over the fresh paint (both of which are rather rash acts).

But, a male author could not write about such things without getting called "whiny" or worse, so the guys "man up" and just take it. And the internal pressure rises a bit more.
