New skirts for men from Canada
New skirts for men from Canada
Hi. Recently we have started a men's clothing line specializing in men's skirts!
We are located in Ontario Canada and will be shipping custom-built skirts across North America to start. Our first photo shoots are around the corner and I am excited to be sharing our presence with you.
If you don't mind me sharing a link or two:

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
One of your administrators asked me some questions so I thought I would share my reply here for everyone to see.
The next photoshoot:
Alana (the co-designer) has punched out the first number of skirts to shoot and we are now preparing the photographers and models. We also have a group of studio photographers about 9 hours drive away, wanting us to ship skirts down to them so that they can shoot as well. Amazing how things snowball quickly amongst excited parties
.
We are also simultaneously taking pre-orders from many highly interested parties. Needless to say things are quite busy here and quite booming. I figure it will take a few weeks before all is in place and we can start a proper catalog but we are moving as fast as we can.
The line:
We plan to start with a smaller line at first and as we continue to get more and more client requests, we will customize our line to suit the needs of our clients rather than trying to bend their desires to fit our designs. Exciting times ahead I must say!
Orders:
I look forward to fulfilling international orders as soon as they come in as well. All we need are measurements of each person and we are on our way! At present we custom-build tailored skirts for each and every person. (Even built-in pockets and no pockets, key holders etc)
Doing things this way can be quite involved but well worth it and quite rewarding for all parties that's for sure!
Price:
Skirts start at about $40 or $50 and goes up depending on fabrics and design complexities.
Great to know you all:
It is great to now be part of this vibrant community and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Dynamo,
And welcome to our little corner of cyberspace.
It is always good to learn of new people trying to make skirts for men more acceptable and everything on your website points towards a company I hope will succeed. I look forward to seeing your designs once you have photographs up. Please be sure to let us know as the designs are pictured.
Have fun,
Ian.

Dynamo, those prices that you have put up are very reasonable, the only killer may be international postage! I hope that you succeed in your endeavour. There is probably a little selfishness there, as it will mean more men in skirts and, hopefully, a critical mass develops and it becomes mainstream more quickly than we, here, dare to hope. By the way, do I detect a French-Canadian written accent?

Thank you very much for your support Ian and I am glad you like our website. This will be one of many enterprises that I have built over the years. I am sure it will just be a matter of time before things truly gain momentum. The support and encouragement you guys have been giving me is second to none and I sincerely thank you for it.Milfmog wrote:Hi Dynamo,

I will let you know once our photo shoots are done. There is still lots of skirt building to do and lots of shooting to take place but these are definitely exciting times we are living in

Yes I do look forward to strategically bending the world toward the way of "male skirts for the masses". Your forum is doing an excellent work already and I will continue to contribute where i can. I know with the right marketing exposure we can really build a strong presence and bring about change for many. My television show in my local area is helping raise exposure of the concept locally and to be quite frank, as soon as our website was first exposed to the public, I was simply amazed at the responses we got right away. We have been pre-selling skirts already!
Yes shipping can be painful at times but skirts can pack pretty tight. We will vacuum seal them even if we have to. We are not new to shipping product great distances. It is just a matter of packaging correctly for the destination. I am sure as we continue to grow we will get distributes and retailers world-wide
So excited to get to know all of you! I see only great times ahead!
oh yes, and I am glad you like the pricing. I think every one should at least be able to "try" a men's skirt at an affordable price. Then once they know they love it, they can stave a little money to get something really nice
Talk soon everyone!

Can you give me an idea on how long or short the skirts will be. Anyway, looking forward to seeing some photos. All the very best, Andrew

I tend to wear long skirts. The measurements for my skirts are 30/30 for example

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Drum roll please!
Alana Sproule has been working diligently on creating 5 new lines for www.apostrophe.cc. We should have some photos up by the end of this month or soon after.
Here are some descriptions of the awesomeness to come. Each line has been named after the individual that inspired it:
1. The David:
This is a starter skirt for those that are new to the skirt concept. It is the most affordable design Apostrophe will provide. In the $40 to $60 range. Even though this skirt will wrap-around, we are designing the skirt to still flow and move with the most comfort we can muster.
The fabrics used in this skirt will be light, airy and comfortable. (That is why you are wearing a skirt in the first place).
2. The Damian:
This is the skirt that inspired it all. This skirt is designed for its comfort, elegance, ease, utility and flow. The Damian can be worn with muscle tank tops right up to formal shirts. Warm when you need it to be and cool when you need it to be. The selected lightweight fabrics not only flow freely as you move but also make for a very comfortable experience when sitting or just hanging around with friends. Once you put one on, you will never want to take it off! A true must have for every wardrobe.
Price range: $60 to $85.
Heavier fabrics may also be provided for the colder seasons. Layering skirts in colder climates is also possible with this design.
3. The Gordon:
This skirt has been inspired by men's dress pants with pant style side pockets and back pocket, fly front and box pleat at the back for movement. Fabrics: Cottons, linens and other mid-weight fabrics for rugged use or even classy events. Final pricing to be announced. This skirt is perfect for the man that is new to skirts and would like to wear a skirt that is not only comfortable but also very discrete.
4. The James:
This is sure to be one of our best sellers. We already have a number of pre-orders outstanding. Inspired by jeans and casual pants, this skirt will feature pockets on the back, belt loops, fly front, and more details to come. Fabrics will be denim and other mid to heavy weight materials. This skirt looks like pants at first and forces you to "double take" once you get closer. An excellent wear for a new man trying a new breed of fashion.
5. The Marc:
Modeled after the traditional kilt but with a twist. This kilt is flat in the front with pleats across the back. There are straps and buckle details as well. Mid to heavy weight fabrics like denim, and wool are best suited for this design. This design built for the traditional Kilt connoisseur as well as individuals whom would like to wear a kilt without the extremely heavy price tag associated with it. The apparel is also great as a work, hiking or even comfortable camo hunting garment. Great for going out "on the trails" and even comfortable for renovation work around the house and other rough and tumble work. Built to last!
This design looks very close to a pant but has the complete comfort of a kilt. Prices to be announced.

We are working to build our first prototypes soon. The online description says it all!
Let us know what skirt you can best see yourself in and we will put the ball in motion to bring to you the best a men's skirt has to offer. We have already been taking pre-orders for all of our lines and are very excited to be bringing them to you. This is a great time for men's fashion!
Ask us questions and we will be more than happy to answer. Final designs are still under way so if you have any questions or suggestions for our design team, speak them now!
All skirts can be built to fit any length and waist size. Custom fabric combinations will also be provided once the final designs are ready for public release. Simply tell us what you would like and we will build it to suit. Custom pockets, key holders and all!
New skirts coming soon!

The "Gordon" should have a pleat at the front allowing the fabric
to 'fall', when seated, providing the modesty aspect that is missing
in most straight, non A-Line skirts. Need the front pleat material
to 'cover' men when seated.
