Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

Thanks for the "Tangerine Dream" clip. I still have the first LP I ever bought of theirs -- "Phaedra"-- and I don't think they ever bettered it. Haven't played it for years due to lack of a functioning turntable; I must do something about that.

I love the Leroy Anderson "Typewriter" piece. I have got it on an LP of Leroy Anderson that I've had for yonks.
The Garrard 4HF might be OK for 78s, but certainly never for vinyl. Very heavy arm. Very stiff auto stop.

There's also his Syncopated Clock which is another joy.
I forget where, when, and by whom I was first exposed to those, but I suspect it was my elder aunt (who shocked me a bit a couple of weeks ago by recognizing, by name alone, a computer whose descendants I've been working on a presentation about).

That's quite obvious at first glance.

I remember hearing these pieces played by the Boston Pops on TV in the 60s. Probably too early for a youngster like you Carl.
