Normally, I'd put this under "Off Topic" as it's more about music than blokes in skirts, but the vid is worth a look. It should put a gobstopper into the mouth of any naysayer going.

Well you certainly have your ear to the ground, Carl. That group are very polished and espouse the alternative suitings for men cause to the best advantage possible. Their kiltsuits are perfect, close harmony first class and their choreography impressive.

Elsewhere on their favourite clips list is one entitled 'Belfast Polka'. Not only are they all kilted and use beautiful young nubile riverdance-type girls, but demonstrate the versatility of my own chosen instruments...whistle, old Irish flute and piano wonderfully.

Oh, that is exquisite -- Thanks for that! Interestingly, it's alternately titled "Pennsylvania Railroad". I wonder where that came from.

I still have a bit of a slow burn on that my parents wouldn't let me take up the flute when I was a youngster. I suppose I should give it up now as the perpetrators are long dead, but still. That wooden flute makes a wonderful sound.

I think I saw Howie's thunderbolt kiltpins, so they are from TFCK, 21st-century kilts, in Edinburgh.

I concur, and also wish I could afford one (or maybe four) of his rigs.

Absolutely fabulous rendition, however, try getting the Dougie Maclean version.
It actually sums up the fact that there is nothing more Scottish than a Scotsman abroad.
Also for real modern Scots tunes, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
Steve.
The "kilts" are almost incidental, which is how it should be.
