The more sublime joys of skirts

Post by crfriend »

Over the past several weeks I've been moving my primary computing facility from the dining-room in our house to a much smaller upstairs study. This has led to many compromises in things, some of which are actually rather nice, including the ability to turn around in an office-chair (which needs replacing) to get to six keyboards, three CRTs, and more than a half-dozen systems, some of them of historical interest.

One interesting thing is that I've inherited a set of computer speakers that are quite remarkable. They produce a very balanced spectrum from top to bottom (and I still, despite the amount of abuse I've heaped atop my ears over the years) -- and right down to almost subsonic levels. It's the last bit that's funny in the skirted context.

This piece drives the subwoofer so hard that given its positioning it blows wind up my skirt when sitting at one of the two desks. But, then again, what else would one suspect for a beast with a 64' register. This one does, too, and it's "season appropriate".

I know what you mean! I have a Funktion One listening system here at home consisting of two mid/ high speakers with a 1" & 10" an upper bass with 2 X 12" and a sub with a 21". Driven by a 4,000 watt 4 way amp.
Now that makes my skirt vibrate against my legs. It was even more interesting in the summer when I was wearing a light dress.
